Very good place to stay
The employees are very professional and very friendly, in the looby (Cristina and Omar ) in the Restaurant Noel,in the looby bar Benjamin, the pools very clean,my wife and I we love this place.
The Mayan is being remodeled but this did not stop the great service we had.. The location is great and everyone went out of their way to accommodate us. The restaurant is kind of over price however, it on site.

Shortly before I traveled, I found the fine print of the RCI confirmation which said there was a $30 per day, per person resort fee for RCI points members. For that fee you receive transportation to the gulf course and tennis courts, a trip from the airport, wifi for one device per room and a welcome drink. (We did not receive any of those services.) It was too late to change our plans so I expected a big bill. In the end we were not charged a resort fee. Was that because we are an RCI "weeks" member or because the Mayan is very disorganized about their guests. The hotel staff are helpful and nice so talk to them early and confirm - or negotiate to get what you want.
