This small hotel is conveniently neighboring Universidad de Costa Rica and is quiet and safe. Kracovia café is within the same property and that's a plus. The hotel serves breakfast but the coffee they has was of poor quality. They need to have towels in...More
The staff is beyond helpful, sweet, and honest. They were extremely flexible with our changing of plans. They helped us to find local places to eat and do laundry at a good price. They cooked an amazing Costa Rican breakfast every morning with the freshest...More
This is my third time staying here and the staff makes it really worth it. We changed our plans to check out during the weekend to go on a weekend excursion even though we booked the place for consecutive nights and the staff and manager...More
Small, cozy, quaint boutique hotel, so close to Universidad de Costa Rica, UCR, that you can go there walking less than five minutes. Nice rooms with comfortable beds, cable TV, hot water, private bath, safety box, wifi and tranquil ambiance.

There is a courtyard with a grassy area and some artwork and there is a picnic table where you could sit outside and read. There is also an outdoor patio with some tables and chairs next to the breakfast area where you could sit. There is a lot of open space so I think you could probably find a spot to enjoy the nice weather. Also if you walk out of the hotel parking lot and turn left, it is a very short walk to the main campus for UCR and there are lots of grassy areas, benches, etc. to enjoy on campus. To find out about the cancellation policy, I would advise that you email the hotel directly. They were prompt in replying to my questions prior to our trip.
