We recently vacationed in Morelia and stayed at Casa Grande. This beautiful hotel was centrally located and provided us with the most incredible views. Our rooms were clean and quiet and had a wonderful mix of old and new. The bathrooms were modern with all...More
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and conviently located across from the cathedral. It is quiet and super clean. The staff is fantastic as well. Jorge, the bellman and Salvador at the front desk were both wonderful.

I've stayed there a few times and never saw a hotel pick-up. Cabs in Morelia are easy and cheap. There is a kiosk near the exit door. Tell them where you're going (also say you want the fast/toll road) and they'll give you a ticket. You give the ticket to one of the cab drivers waiting outside. The cabs seem vetted. I've never had a problem or felt unsafe. You can get pesos in the airport but I find it easier to bring some from home.
