Casona de la China Poblana was a charming place to stay with updated rooms that were lovely. The bathroom was wonderful and the room we were in had a wonderful balcony. The restaurant was pleasant or we could order and eat upstairs in the courtyard terrace. Service was wonderful but Problana food was not our taste - we don't enjoy...

A gorgeous mansion With only 10 to 12 rooms/suites, Casona de la China Poblana is quite stunning. Thoroughly modern, yet holds the air of something ancient. We were there for a night, ate at the dining room where both service and food was excellent. Yes, Some of the rooms do face the street, but it did not bother us sensitive...

I loved my stay at the Casona de la China Poblana. I had the China Poblana junior suite and thought it must be the best room with the two balconies. It, like the hotel, is a great blend of Colonial and modern. Everyone was wonderful, service was great. Food, under the direction of charming Captain Flores, was very good. The...

A very warm welcome from the hotel staff and a shot of very good tequila to start our stay was excellent. We had a beautiful room, the Samarcanda Suite, which had not only a very spacious bedroom with beautiful bathroom and shower, but also an upper level, also very spacious, and beautifully furnished with comfortable sofas and a wide screen...

The architecture is amazing, more than 400 years old and very well preserved. The restaurant has delicious food and reasonable price, not too high and not too low price for what it offers. I recommend the Meztizo Breakfast which is an Omelette filled with chilaquiles, exquisite.

This review is for a stay from October 11-13, 2016. This property is located only blocks away from the beautiful and bustling zocalo of Puebla. It is located just far enough that much of that hustle and bustle dissipates upon arrival to your room. While there is street noise, it is Mexico. We stayed in room #6 (Catarina de San...

This is absolutely an outstanding hotel and restaurant. You can not ask for better service. Arnulfo at the restaurant is the most professional and attentive person you can imagine. After dining at the Purificadora and CasaReyna - where the waiters were rude and did not show up for most of our dinner - Arnulfo and his servers were absolutely amazing....

We were traveling through Puebla and we wanted to stay near the old, historic square. This was one of the favorites. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We were worried about parking our big truck and they have free parking included. It is an underground parking lot directly under the hotel. It is VERY SECURE! It is near...

Really a beautifully restored place, with unique gorgeous rooms. Breakfast came with the room, and was unbelievably varied and good. Room was very clean. Room came with robes and slippers! Great, central location. The only thing wanting was maybe more advice from the front desk about where to go and what to see.

We had the best experience at trying the specialties of the food from Puebla! We tried a course menu that was very cheap and we even took two bottles of the best wine. The restaurant is located in the hotel in the center yard of a big building. The day that we had dinner a musician was playing nice music...

“Los Angeles suite was lovely, with small dining area and two bathrooms. Strangely, it overlooked a private interior courtyard that the suite had no access to. The hot tub looked uninviting, but the private outdoor area would be a nice option if they removed it”
