We stayed in Honey Hedge and we had a wonderful time. The cottage was decorated and furnished to a high standard and we felt very spoiled. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly in the ice bucket and roses! The cottage is located in the most beautiful landscape with sea views and with seclusion, peace and quiet. The hot tub came into its own each day after wonderful long walks along the South West Coastal path and through the stunning countryside. Thank you to Phil and Zoe for creating such a special place to stay.

We visited for a Minimoon a week after our wedding and there simply could not have been a better location to spend it. We had such a fantastic time. We were contacted by Phil to let us know we could get in early which was lovely as we had set off earlier than expected and the journey went well. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely fire,, candles, rose petals on the bed and a bottle on ice along with chocolates and a card. The breakfast provided for Dovecote lasted a good few days, yogurt, porridge, pain au chocolate x 4 and juice. The kitchen facilities in Dovecote were perfectly sufficient for a 3 night stay. We had breakfast bbq on the beautiful decking, and used the gas bbq in the evening too. There's a toaster and microwave and kettle if you need it.
We hopped on the helicopter to Tresco and had a fab day out and also did the marine discovery and saw dolphins, both of which I'd highly recommend. We walked the coastal path between mousehole and lamorna which is slightly scary in places and a full body workout but beautiful. The hot tub at the end of a walking day was the icing on the cake. We absolutely loved this place. We would come back tomorrow if we could. It's the perfect escape from busy life (and kids). Thank you Phil and Zoe.

My partner and I have just returned from a delightful long weekend break staying in Honey Hedge cottage, everything about the place and area was perfect. We originally booked for March but as this was still in lockdown we rearrange to the end of April and boy was it worth the wait, we got a complimentary upgrade because the cottage we had previously booked was occupied over the weekend we had rearranged to and Phil and Zoe couldn’t of been a bigger help. On the day of our arrival we got a text from Phil who informed us that our cottage was ready and asked for an ETA, we arrived and met Phil outside (socially distanced of course). The cottage is the most charming place, nice quirks and such a homely feel to it. Walking in and there were rose petals on the bed, a bottle of Prosecco chilling on the side with a delicious box of chocolates and a hand written card, the little touches that just make a nice getaway all the more magical and personal. We had a fantastic weekend here, Phil and Zoe really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome (we had to borrow a roasting tray to do a Sunday Roast and Phil came and dropped it round for us!). We will definitely be back again!

We recently stayed at Lamorna View. Contact from the owners was really good and Phil called on arrival day to say it was ready early.

Upon arrival its an open plan living / bedroom area. Nice prosecco and chocolates on arrival. Really nice private garden with hot tub and lovely views from both sides of the property.

Its a really nice place to look at but for me it had a few issues.

There is no door on the bathroom with the toilet right by the doorway. Anyone walking to the kitchen would see the person sat on the loo. Also if you sit on the loo you can look to your right and see the other person sat on the sofa. A door would also screen any noises of someone in the toilet. I know it's not an issue for all but it was for me.

Also the kitchen that also has no door is just a few feet away from the bathroom.

We found if you turn the taps on any more than a trickle in the bathroom the water hits the plugs and goes on the floor.

Couldn't get all the lights to work as the dimmer remote was missing.

The property is down a single lane track that's 0.8 miles long with just 2 passing spaces on the whole track. Now, there aren't too many properties / vehicles at the site but there is the risk that you would meet someone and potentially have to reverse some distance. Track is also very bumpy.

There is a lot of stuff about this property that's very nice, its generally done to a high spec. Just for us, there were a few things that weren't quite right.

Not much in the immediate area, we walked to the cove which is not worth visiting, just some seaweed covered rocks and a cafe. The nearby pub is barely open after we walked there so again not worth a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous stay at Honey Hedge, Phil was great at providing info and so lovely to have fizz chilling, chocolates, flowers and candles lit all around cottage and outside! It’s actually better in the flesh than on pictures online. Such a remote, quite place, but close enough to explore so many beautiful places near by. Sea view from front door! Garden was so private and hot tub was lovely. If there was any thing remotely negative, would be the toilet door didn’t shut properly and also the glass wasn’t completely opaque. Putting a curtain up would make it more private. We would go back in a heart beat! We miss it so much. May look at Dovecote next visit. Thank you again! Wonderful

What an amazing weekend me and my partner had at Lamorna view!! I can’t express just how amazing the place was, how thoughtful the hosts were, and how they left us too it, so discreet and polite. We are only a 2 hour drive away, but coming down here felt like we was a million miles away. We went out and travelled to landsend, sennen, portcurno, Penzance, mousehole, which was all equally stunning, every road we went down was just beautiful, and then to go back to the beauty of Lamorna view, was just amazing. You can’t quite capture the beauty of it with words or pictures, it just doesn’t do it justice, you need to see it for your self. To top the evening off is the stars! Wow!! Never seen anything like it! So magical and breath taking. We will definitely be back. You don’t want for anything when you are there, and their is so much privacy. Proper little gem, loved it. Thank you so much.

I'm not sure words can really cover how great this place is. I was fortunate enough to find Phil and Zoe's haven a few years ago for my husbands birthday and returned this year to find that it had not lost any of it's magic.
We stayed in Lamorna View, which is truly spectacular and so romantic. From the cosy couch for two in front of the fire, through the beautiful bed (I have never had a better nights sleep) with sunrise views to die for, to the slipper bath. Every detail has been covered. Not to mention the hot tub under the stars!
The location is great for exploring Cornwall as well. Although I must admit it was difficult to tear ourselves way from this perfect little spot some days.
Phil and Zoe are the perfect hosts, with a very warm welcome on arrival and bubbly already chilling in the barn. It is like returning "home".
Already working on possible dates for a return visit soon.
Thank you both for creating this beautiful bolt hole.

As l've gotten older (lm, 34 now) l've become very picky. lf you're reading this review it's probably because (like me) you want the best value for money possible and you want to know before you book that you're going to get what's promised to you. My partner and l just got back from 4 nights at Kymaurah Cottages and stayed at Honey Hedge, which is a beautifully romantic cottage and l can honestly say it exceeded all expectations.

Phil and Zoe, are the perfect hosts, unobtrusive but at hand should you need anything at all, even if its just a restaurant recommendation. We arrived to a candle-lit room, roaring log fire, bubbles on ice and chocolates and the cottage was beautiful, immaculate and with gorgeous features, roll top bath and a amazing outdoor hot tub which is totally private. Every detail has been thought of and you're not only n a scenic location in itself but you are so close to Penzance, not too far from St lves and other historic locations.

l woiuld not hesitate to stay here again, Zoe and Phil take such pride in their properties and that really shows, nothing is too much trouble and just genuinely lovely people. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, don't look elsewhere, you'd struggle to find anything more special for your money and you'll leave with beautiful memories.

Well, what a find !! Beautiful bolthole for two. Everything you could wish for, the view was perfect from the hot tub. It is spotless and has all the modcons you need. Plus the wonderful touches of a bottle of bubbly and chocs on arrival. Peaceful and great place to relax and unwind. We normally spend our lives dashing around and this place brought us right back to calm and tranquility straight away. Great place for couples. Only one problem - Wish we were there longer!

We stayed in Lamorna View for a week for my partners 30th. Our stay was absolutely amazing, and the cottage was beautiful. It simply could not be improved in any way.
Zoe and Phil have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay a truly special and unforgettable one! From champagne on ice, to chocolates and a card on arrival were just lovely little extras.
The cottage is beautiful decorated and spacious. We just loved relaxing in the hot tub at night or on a lazy afternoon. The bath and shower were lovely too, we often didn't know which one to use first!
The cuddle couch was so comfy, great to chill out on while watching a film while the fire was alight! The bed was so comfortable, so much so, that we have never slept so good. Some days it was hard to prize ourselves away from the cottage as we just wanted to stay and enjoy it! The location is perfect and all the main tourist attractions easily accessible by car. The beautiful costal walks from the cottage is also a massive bonus.
We would highly recommend booking in advance Darren Broom. He provided dinner for us on the first and last night of our stay, which made it feel even more special. All his food was truly delicious and is highly recommend.
Don't think about booking it, just do it. You won't regret it! We definitely hope to return to Lamorna View in the future!

We have just returned the WIFI was hit and miss. If you depend on it you may be let down however that is the one and only negative about this place. We just wanted to get away so it didn't worry us.

If you search for this - kymaurah cottages - on google it comes up up and it has availability / prices and their contact details. We stayed in December and it was very easy to book via them. The cottages are fab and we will be back to experience the quiet and luxury.
