we only stayed one night as we were on business but we would certainly go out of our way to stay and eat again. the room (room 1), was pretty, perfectly clean and the bathroom was, again very clean with everything working! the bed was very comfortable with good linen. our sunday lunch was about the best we have had...

The room was spacious and the building is a lovely beamed property with a lot of character. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard with the speciality Cote de boeuf outstanding albeit a little on the pricey side.

This was a truly excellent place to stay. The room was stylish, extremely clean, spacious and very well appointed with a super comfy bed, great TV and good in-room tea/coffee facilities. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful/attentive. There is amp[le parking and the area in which the hotel is located is stunning. Unfortunately we didn't dine at...

Had to take the wife to Heathrow and wanted something a bit special as it was also her birthday, the Winning Post didn't disappoint. We had a very friendly welcome and then shown to our large well decorated and very clean room. The hotel also has a large pub and restaurant the food both for the evening meal and breakfast...

We stopped here when attending a party in Ascot. The pub is super, the restaurant served a fabulous breakfast and the rooms are recently refurbished and attractive. When we return, because we surely will, we will ask for a room with a shower - room 8 does not have one. Friends were in rooms 3 and 6 and they had...

We booked here for a night away on the spur of the moment. We were really impressed with the room, the quality of the food and the service. It was great value for money. If we are ever in the the area again we will be sure to revisit!

I haven't been compelled to write a restaurant review until now. My partner and I stayed at The Winning Post while en route to an event, the pit stop here turned out to be the highlight of our trip. An excellent first impression with the overall aesthetics of the venue, charismatic and quaint, you could see this building has a...

Really nice country pub and the beer very well kept. The food we had for lunch was very nice being a Crayfish omelette and Sausage and mash, but we were looking more for a lighter lunch like a sandwich but unfortunately not available only full meals. But the meals were very good.

We stayed in this country pub for 2 nights, rooms are adequate, comfortable, chintzy and yes the plumbing is a little noisy but this didn't bother us. Room was also spotless as well as the bathroom but cheap toiletries ( Lucky i had taken my own). Lovely country location but for us a little too much out of the way,...

The food while by no means cheap is excellent and the pub is in a very attractive position, The beer from Uphams is also a very good pint. However, and I am really not sure why this, the service is at best indifferent, rather slow and grudging.
