Nestled into the side of a mountain and surrounded by tropical vegetation on one of the most beautiful beaches of the Mexican Pacific Riviera is where you will find this secluded tropical paradise that offers the perfect balance between recreation and relaxation. A private hilltop entrance leads into a stone courtyard with dramatic fountain, where porters escort new arrivals to the open-air reception area. Bright colors, high ceilings, and keyhole views of the Pacific Ocean highlight hotel's striking architecture. Las Brisas Ixtapa is a particular favorite of honeymooners for its romantic setting and rooms with private terraces, all with ocean views.

I have stayed at this Hotel since late eighties when it was El Camino Real every year and to me a 5 star resort. Unfortunately, the room facilities need maintenance, shower heads, shower drains, water valves, patio furniture. Food quality was better, the beds are hard, and the music in the bar stuck in time. We return for the people serving the bar and the beach who became friends over many years. Alberto, Margarito, Sergio, Arturo, Rosario, Vladimir are examples of excellent services. I suggest management be visible and see first hand what needs improvement.

My husband and I have been visiting this resort for 27 years, the first time on our honeymoon. We have loved returning almost every year. This year it was so disappointing. We have friends come with us every year and were actually embarrassed. Most of the staff are so friendly and caring that it's hard to write this. I want to acknowledge Vladimir in the lounge bar, Jorge and Victor by the pool, Fatima at the front desk. That said these are the issues we had. 1. My friend(63 year old woman) had a sun shirt on in the pool and was told she had to take if off or get our of the pool because it wasn't spandex, most 63 year old women don't want to wear spandex and men's bathing suits aren't always spandex. We found this offensive and inappropriate. When complaining they did nothing but defend their "rule". 2. You wait in line often for everything, buffet, average wait for concierge was over 20 minutes, and they seemed to have lost that genuine hospitality that we used to experience. 3. On the last day we had a Covid test scheduled for 10 am, we went early and no Dr. We were informed to wait in our room and they would call us when he returned and they didn't know what time, the last thing you want to do on your last day is sit in your room and just wait, especially when you had a day planned off site. 4. The hotel is charming, and old but definitely showing wear and tear, moldy in spots et. 5. On the last day the elevators broke, we were on the 22cd floor, (lobby is on the 18th). Walking down wasn't an issue except for the luggage and when I asked for help they said not now, the elevator was just broke, which wasn't true, they had lost power. My husband has Parkinsons and really needed the help. 6. When I did complain they would just nod and not offer any solution or apology, so to say the least a very frustrating experience especially after 27 years. I would not recommend them, they are many other lovely places to stay.

The hotel has great facilities and location, however the "All inclusive" package is a SCAM. NOWHERE in the public site you can find the "benefits" of it, neither of the Brisas Beach Club package. The ALL INCLUSIVE, doesn't include everything, if you want to have a coconut, an espresso, room service, or some better tequila it's not included and you need to pay for it. Additionally, in the "Specialty restaurants" food is TERRIBLE and you are limited to only one (super small) main dish that doesn't make for the dinner of their specialty restaurant... Come to the hotel but don't even think on spending on their all inclusive better take that money to take a Cab to the tourist area and have a great dinner by the same amount you would be paying here. I'll try to add the pictures of their conditions so that everybody can have access to them and think twice before spending here. I'm actually staying at the hotel NOW, and I totally regret about it.

The hotel did an excellent job during the hurricane to make certain that all guests were safe. They moved the breakfast to the banquet facility, sent out a notice and did what they could to keep guests safe.
