I spent 3 days in this fantastic place out of this world immersed in the woods in the middle of the national park of the Casentino forests at 900 meters above sea level. Ideal location for those who want to get away from city stress and live an experience in contact with nature. The structure is obtained from an ancient hermitage of the tenth century, skilfully restored. Equipped with 10 bedrooms furnished with grace and equipped with essential comforts. I was also very impressed by the impeccable and extremely welcoming and hospitable management of the owner Nicholas and his partner, who make guests feel at home. The hotel also offers a restaurant service which constitutes a further plus on the overall evaluation. The culinary proposal is based on traditional Tuscan dishes expertly prepared by the chef among which the fresh homemade pasta, the Casentinesi potato ravioli, the aubergine pie on basil and tomato cream and the roll in crust deserve a special mention. stuffed. The only note I feel is about breakfast, made mainly of delicious tarts, which I would integrate with a salty part. Warm welcome, family atmosphere, cuisine with authentic flavors, wild nature, impeccable cleanliness. And silence. The signal of the telephone network does not arrive because of the imposing trees that surround the farmhouse, but the satellite works very well and you can connect to the internet. I found myself and peace as soon as I got there.

This has been the most beautiful accommodation I have ever visited in my life. Their pictures were already promising, but in real life it is simply breath-taking. It is in the middle of a national forest, and the owners intend to leave it as natural and old-fashioned as possible. The rooms are spacious, fresh, designed aesthetically and provide comfortable atmosphere. There is enough space for the luggages, closets and hangers for the clothes. The bathroom is clean, only you have to wait a tiny bit (1-3 minutes) in the shower for the water to turn warm, as it comes straight from the springs. Outside there are many cozy furniture ( cushioned benches, sun-beds and even hammocks) waiting for the guests to rest, and they can use the fireplace or the grill. This location is perfect for those who want to go on a hike, horseback-riding or e-biking. For fishing-lovers, they can find a trout-farm (called Puccini) or simply try their luck in the Arno river. There are also many small villages in the area, waiting to be visited. I also need to emphasise our experience with the service. The co-owner, Nikolas on his side with Fabricio (the chef) were great hostesses, they always seeked to satisfy and make us feel welcomed. The food was delicious and authentic, no one was left hungry. Booked a dinner for a party of 8 people and we had an excellent meal at this holiday farmhouse situated in the middle of the woods above Stia-Pratovecchio. The driveway is a little difficult, but worth it when you arrive. Our hosts were very friendly and showed us round the pretty bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms. Will definitely return
