My partner booked us a mini break here for 2 nights in September 2016 to celebrate my birthday. We absolutely loved it, really friendly staff, lovely restaurant and breakfast with the hotel set on beautiful, quiet grounds with Windermere only a short drive away. We booked treatments in the spa which were great and the lady was super friendly. It...

This slightly quirky little hotel is situated in a tiny village near Windermere. It has lots to offer, including rooms with four poster beds, a great restaurant and a pool and spa. Prices are very reasonable, and it's worth looking for deals on their own website. Highly recommended if you want to snuggle down for the weekend. Well-behaved dogs allowed,...

Just a little break before the Christmas rush. Hotel was very nice, food was very good. Rooms quite large, Queen size beds in most rooms, Tea and coffee facilities, A little way off the beaten track, need a car, about 10 min drive to Bowness. Views from room was over fields full of sheep, would be lovely in summer as...

Wonderful to welcome you to the hotel and to read your 5 star review. You highlight some of what we feel makes the hotel a great place visit; comfortable accommodation, delicious food and lovely location. Off the beaten track yes, but all the better for it. We love that you would stay again and hope you do. Thank you.

Having had many weekend stays here and being satisfied, we decided to take advantage of the special Christmas deal on offer. Our arrival, on Christmas Eve, was heralded by mince pies and a drink in the lounge, and an opportunity to meet fellow guests, and dogs, who would be our companions for the next four days. Our delicious 3 course...

What a delightful, almost poetic review! It means a lot to us to have received your 5 star rating and all of your wonderful comments are much appreciated. All of our staff worked very hard (although enjoyed themselves as well!) over the Christmas period and it is nice to read your thoughtful comments about them. I'm sure we'll be welcoming...

We stayed a couple of nights. Nice and warm, nice breakfasts, quiet and handy for visiting several nearby towns. We didnt get a chance to experience the spa unfortunately which was a disappointment, as it looks very nice. Dog friendly.

We arrived for the 3/4 night New Year break. This is our 3rd year at this hotel and we would not go anywhere else to spend our New Year. When we arrived there were cakes, sweets, mince pies and coffee/tea and so many Christmas trees a roaring fire it was so homely. We checked in our room and that was...

We spent 3 days there celebrating our honeymoon at Damson Dene and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. The hotel itself has a real old world charm with comfy chairs and a log fire. The setting is about as picturesque as they come and really handy for exploring the lakes. Our room was cosy and had everything we needed. The...
