We booked 4 rooms at this hotel for a birthday celebration, having not stayed here before we were pleasantly surprised about all aspects of our stay. The superior Family Rooms were spacious, modern and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and the menu was varied with different specials everyday. The quality and size of the meals were very good and very competitively priced compared with other local restaurants and pubs we had investigated. The staff in all areas were very efficient and helpful and could not have been more friendly. The hotel had a country hotel feel with a log fire and sitting areas in the reception Will definitely stay here again.

Everything about the experience has been amazing, we went with a baby and the hotel was perfect, plenty of space outside for a wander with a swimming pool inside, it was pretty much the perfect experience, the staff were incredibly friendly and really went the extra mile. But do expect to spend some extra money whilst your here, the restaurant is wonderful however is not a Wetherspoons and they make that perfectly clear, food is particularly delicious and the staff know how to wait on people very well. There is a beautiful fire in reception. Breakfast is worthwhile as well as dinner with lunch served throughout the day.

Walked in to this establishment today at 11.30am.There was no one on the reception desk so we walked into the main lounge. Not a soul in there but no staff either. There was a bell on the bar and we rang it but still no one showed. No other option but to walk out What a terrible way to run a place.Never again.!!!!

Booked in for a short post New Year break. The spa facilities were excellent and we enjoyed the treatments that were on offer. Lovely comfortable four poster bed, own jacuzzi and great views. Lovely welcoming reception area with log fire, perfect for relaxing in the evening. Great base for visiting the lakes and perfect if you have a dog. Staff were very helpful and the service in the restaurant was impeccable. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely staff, dog friendly, spotlessly clean. Good leisure facilities and location. Food service and quality was exemplary. The staff are a real credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely book again.
