We came across this accommodation whilst we were travelling between Loreto and San Ignacio and we were looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights. We loved staying here and it was unfortunate that Bob and Sue could only accommodate us for 2 nights - we would have stayed longer if we could. Bob and Sue are lovely... More

Awesome unique accomodations near Mulege. We stayed in the lighthouse. While it is small and it was hot, when else can you stay in a lighthouse. Views from the top as we drank wine and watched the sunset over the mountains was fantastic. The bay is so warm and calm so the swimming was great! We only stayed one night,... More

We absolutely loved this wonderful guesthouse! First, a caveat: Sue Frambes suffers from numerous allergies, which is why Playa Frambes puts a strict NO SMOKING warning in all of their marketing and communications. Bob and Sue have even refunded the money and shown the proverbial door to people who don't smoke anywhere on the property but who merely SMELL like... More

We were on a road trip through Baja in December and really wanted to stay here. We actually drove to it twice and both times the gate was closed and you couldn't enter, we figured they were closed or just not looking for business.

No noise at all but the sound of the waves and that of the shells cracking under your feet (the beach is made entirely of shells!). Expect less comfort compared with a standard room, but the experience is one of those to be done, once in a lifetime. The size is roughly that of a "normal" room, but split into... More

If you're planning to stay in Mulege, this is were you'll want to go. Not too far from Mulege but at the same time very calm and private. An american owned little hotel which has a few casitas and a lighthouse (in which you can also stay). I'd recommend the casitas, they're huge for your money's worth. Two bedrooms, big... More

What a welcoming sight when, a scant two miles off the main road down an good dirt road with almost no bumps, we drove up to the four almost new separate suites on grounds that clearly have been beautifully kept. Four separate double suites right on the beach were grouped around a swimming pool, with a charming rest area, chairs... More

We spent a long great time with our 4 y/o picking huge shells, the swimming pool is nice and clean all the time, Susan herself is always taking care of it. Even do there is no restaurant at the place, they... More

“The lighthouse is lovely, but tall people or people who have visit the restroom in the night might prefer the far roomier casitas. The casitas are 2 BR, so families or couples will really fare well. Bob and Sue will put you as close to the beach as possible, but really, all the rooms are lovely with views, breezes, gorgeous Balinese bamboo furniture, and on and on and on. There are NO bad rooms at Playa Frambes.”
