I stayed here near the end of my trip to Mexico. I arrived at the hostel sick with both throat and stomach problems, and rested there 4 days. There's a comfortable kitchen for cooking, wifi, clean warm showers, and convenience stores/markets/art galleries/bookstores nearby to keep sick travelers occupied. The staff was friendly. The hostel had enough guests so that I...

When I was there, its name was very appropriate. Coming from Mexico City the landscape suddenly changed from cacti woods into an average Swiss countryside.. And the sun stayed behind in Mexico City. Niebla means clouds and the 4 days I spend there I saw no sun. The museum is about 3/4 hour walk and surely worth a visit since...

We had a bit of a mixed bag experience at Hostal de la Niebla. Lovely staff who were very welcoming, comfortable dorm beds, great location in the town centre, strong tasty coffee in the mornings and we met some great people in the dorm. However, wifi was awful was explained away as being due to rain despite it seldomly raining,...

This has been one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Staff is helpful and very friendly, my (private) room extremely affordable, clean and cozy. Nice patio, continental breakfast included, internet provided. Restaurants, the Zocalo and galleries nearby. Just a short bus ride to the wonderful anthropological museum. The town itself is interesting and fun. I'd love to...

The hostel has a central location, is safe and clean. Staff was friendly, at least one of them speaks English. They also helped to organise a rafting tour to Jalcomulco. Breakfast was as basic as in hostels typically. No many guests this time, getting at least a dorm was easy without a reservation.

This hostel has the perfect location in Xalapa! Convenience store next door, walk 5 minutes to grocery store, 2 minutes to the Callejon - bars and restaurants, 2 minutes to Callejon Diamente - restaurants, coffee shops, artisans and boutiques, 2 minutes to Parque Juarez...could not be more conveniently situated! Bonus is having Boletotal outlet within walking distance as well. The...

I stayed at the Hostel twice, once in September last year for purpose of studying (2010), with the second stay in June- July 2011 for holidaying. Both stays made me feel very relaxed and as though I was home from home (my home being in London, England). All staff were very kind and helpful especially when I saw them faced...

I loved the place. It was just what I needed to spend a week in Xalapa, but the people that were in the front desk were kind of rude and they tried to made us feel like we were not wanted there. Probably because we are national travelers (we are from Mexico visiting Xalapa). Guys of the hostel a peace...

I stayed here for 5 nights as they have a kitchen to cook in and was reviewed as having a nice patio. In fact, I counted 3.5 patios in different parts of the building. The place is spotless and the staff very helpful ( but not always up to date, but this is not a travel agency). The rooms could...

The hostel is located in a modern building on a central street a few blocks from the cathedral and central park. The receptionist was friendly and gave me sheets so I could go and make up my own bed in the dorm. The price was 150 pesos but 135 for students. I never claimed to be one but was charged...
