The previous review from Winnipeg nails it. We travelled with 3 small children under 9, and Nana. The nice things about this resort are the grounds, the pools, and the service staff. The rooms, although outdated, are large; we had an adjoining one bedroom and the kids slept on the couches. The flowers and foliage were gorgeous. Over all the...

We had an excellent trip - not without a few faults though. We were guests of owners - they let us use one of their weeks and they came too. While regretful that they purchased this timeshare, they're making the best of it and not by any means miserable owners. They were told many lies in the sales process, such...

There's a reason why you've probably heard (maybe on SouthPark) that time-shares are scams. It's because they are. What they do is take retirees and bring them here for a week through a brokerage company called RCI. They do this because they want you to buy a share in their property for a down payment of around $50 large. This...

We just returned from our first trip to this resort (Mayan Palace) in Mexico and I must say this. Do your research, believe nothing that they tell you unless you get it in writing and notorized as they will say anything to get you to sign. I can only say this about the time share presenters and sales staff. "They...

My family went to the Mayan Palace in February and took along 4 people that have never experienced Mexico before. Those of us who had been to resorts in Mexico before were very disappointed with our experience at that hotel and quite honestly rated it as our worst, and the 3 people who had never been to Mexico before were...

We are mayan owners. We stayed on the phone for three hours b/4 getting through. When we got through we found that the two bedroom we needed was not available. i had to buy the week from RCI. Not happy. On the other hand, it is really one of most beautiful properties you will ever see. They have about 12-14...

We just got back from two weeks at the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta. First of all the pictures of the resort here need updating as they hardly resemble it anymore. First the pluses: The resort grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The pool areas are gorgeous. The beach is excellent. The on site shuttle service is good. The...

Stayed two weeks at the Mayan Palace in a two bed timeshare room. The room was kept very clean with fresh towels and sheets everyday, however, the room smelled somewhat "musty" upon first entering. Room furniture could use some updating. Room service was very good. Any "problem" was attended to immediately, and a follow-up phone call was made to see...

There was an amazing array of birdlife, humming birds and other brightly coloured birds right in the colourful, well maintained hotel gardens which fills the space between the swimming pool and the hotel nicely. In fact walking to the pool (huge and amazing and with several different sections, always something for any type of swimmer which makes up for the...
