My wife and I spent one night here in early October 2015. The building is very nice and the setting is beautiful. However, be sure to go on a warm, sunny weekend and not when the weather may be cold or rainy as there is nothing much to do. You are a good 30 minutes from Yarmouth which has much...

If you want the feel of the south shore, go to the Argyler Lodge. The pictures are exactly what you get. A very nice B&B right on the ocean. Very quaint and very well maintained. I would go there again.

Our room, the Captain's Quarters, overlooked the ocean with large windows that let in the ocean breezes. We had a wonderful lobster dinner that Jon cooked down at the oceanshore. Our whole experience at the lodge was memorable. Good food, great accommodations and wonderful owners who are attentive and caring.

We read about this lodge in a AAA Magazine and worked it into our travel schedule of Nova Scotia. The setting is beautiful. It probably was a bit out of the way for us, but we could imagine if you were taking the boat from Maine to Yarmouth, NS, it would be a great place to stay and very convenient....

This lovely lodge has it all - large open and airy rooms, a fantastic view of the bay, and terrific food. It is a quiet and tranquil place but there is entertainment available in the pub if you are interested. We had room 2 and the view was spectacular. The bed was comfortable but the springs were a little past...

We had the pleasure of spending our last night in Nova Scotia here. We were scrambling for a room the night before our ship sailed and this place was the answer to our prayers! Recommended by another hotel (which was booked) we couldn't have been more surprised when we arrived. Situated off the beaten path, on the water with a...

We decided to go away for a weekend to Nova Scotia. The Argyler Lodge is an awesome place. It is a short and simple drive from the ferry dock in Yarmouth. First of all, the property is beautiful. The lodge is set back from what I learned is called Lobster Bay which faces west towards the ocean. The the sun...

We had not been to the Yarmouth area for some years (we live about 2 hours away in Halifax)and decided to take advantage of a special offered by the Argyler Lodge. We were very happy we did so! The location is wonderful - overlooking bay/river at the western end of Nova Scotia. We were greeted nicely by owner and staff...

When we left the Nova Star ferry and drove from rather drab Yarmouth 25 minutes on a really boring tree-lined highway with almost nothing to see, we wondered if we'd made a bad mistake in coming to Nova Scotia, but our arrival just as the sun burned off the fog turned out to be the beginning of a fine holiday....

I just got married at The Argyler on July 26 and it couldn't have gone better! The venue was awesome and the rooms upstairs were big and bright with high ceilings. Everyone raved about the food (roast chicken, potatoes and veggies) and they were very accomidating to our photo schedule (we came back 35 min late, and they were cool...
