Stayed for a surprise bithday treat for one night in one adjacent house. The room was great with views and comfy bed and lovely touches with the biscuits and sweets. However a number of issues, the shower was scolding hot and torn on the pipe to shower head, squirting out dangerously hot water as the cold or regulator did not...

We booked a mid week break, 2nights including breakfast and one evening meal, it was reasonably priced. The room we had was in the main building, it was very small, cramped. The bathroom, ensuite, was very poor with old fittings, cracked floor tiles, not very hygienic in my opinion. The room service maid said the bathroom was due for refurbishment however...

For my birthday, my wife treated me to a Saturday night stay over at the Devonshire Arms, combined with a Sunday at the Christmas market, Chatsworth House. We stayed in a room adjacent to the bar. It was surreal that you went out of your room, down a small corridor and you were at the bar. I could have really...

Came here after a long walk. Lovely pub. Very cosy inside. We took the dogs in and sat in a quirky corner. Think it had been a fire. They had a log burner. Beeley village very picturesque. I had the fish finger burger. My sister had the scallops. Can recommend the rhubarb gin cocktail. Spent a lovely relaxing afternoon here.

Booked a special offer (dinner, b&b) in order to visit nearby Hardwick Hall. Accommodation (in a cottage across the square) was excellent; spotless, comfortable, quiet and with every amenity. Dinner (3 courses from the a la carte menu) and breakfast were generous and delicious. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. I would strongly recommend this hotel in its peaceful, picturesque...

We went here today for a two course lunch. Although we were rather disappointed about the amount of choice, the food we had was very tasty. For starters we chose the black pudding with chicken livers and the carrot and orange soup. For the main course we had duck and red mullet. The food was efficiently served and well presented...

Just had a great day, evening and breakfast at the Devonshire Arms. A cold winters day warmed by a great cosy pub atmosphere. Had drinks next to the log fire and then shown to our cottage bedroom. So relaxing, cosy, spotless, and luxurious. Back for Dinner which was cooked to perfection in a great atmosphere. Breakfast in the restaurant was...

Went here whilst staying at the Caravan Club site at Chatsworth. Walking route was off road all the way, but due to the excessive rain over recent days the grass paths were sodden, by the time we got there (1 hour) me and the dog were rather muddy, hubby managed to have no mud on him - go figure! Anyhow...
