Visited Friday evening at 8pm. Bustling and good atmosphere. Not your normal pub fare. Ordered a starter and main. Had a hiccup with the main but it was put right, very professionally. Lovely owners and would definitely go back on our next visit to the village.

The Pack Horse Inn is well worth a visit. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable. Very nice touches of a bowl of fresh fruit, sweets, flask of fresh milk and bottles of water were replenished every day. Excellent breakfasts and evening meals.

This is a great pub! It has good beer, good food, a wide menu with a good specials board. It has very efficient but friendly service. There is a great sun trap courtyard, which also has shady tables. All in all, good value. We'll be back!

Stayed over for one night following a twenty first birthday party in Marple Bridge. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. After a good nights sleep we showered in the well-equipped bathroom and then walked into the restaurant for a full English Breakfast. Everything was first class and we will return when next in the area.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary due to its proximity to Lyme Park (big Pride and Prejudice fans). This is a great inn and pub, with cosy, comfortable and clean rooms with loads of character. Full of great touches like fresh fruit and fresh milk in a flask - so much better than UHT plastic pots. Real gem of a hotel. All the staff exceptionally friendly and seemed keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Stayed in an executive room, spotlessly clean with small complimentary fruit bowl. Lovely views out over the Peaks from the room. Food and drinks also very good and reasonably priced. Only slight disappointment was the room had 2 single beds...

This was our second stay here and will not be our last. We had a lovely room with fruit, tea and coffee making facilities as well as hot chocolate and a number of speciality teas. Our room was clean and spacious and they have a wide range for breakfast. The food here is always plentiful and tasty and the service...

Just been here for sunday lunch. It was awful. And no, I didn't tell them because they didn't ask! The waitress cleared the nearly full plates away and didn't ask, the manager took payment and didn't ask. I would have asked to see the 'joint' of meat this 'roast' beef came off. It didn't exist because this was pre- sliced....
