We had a room with two queen beds + kitchenette and fire place, and it was clean and spacious. The resort itself is in need of a make-over and not very attractive. The location is nice if you have a car to take you to the center of Banff, but the bus stop is also nearby. The staff was very...

My wife and I had rented a cascade suite for four nights. Arrival and check in went very smoothly. When we got to our room, we discovered that it was very warm inside, about 26 C (79 F). So we turned on the air conditioner by lowering the thermostat setting to 20 C (68 F). I didn't notice much air...

We got upgraded to a spacious suit with 2 queen beds. We fell in love with the suit as soon as we stepped in. The kitchen had all the things we need to prepare a meal. Everything was working, clean and tidy. Our kids loved the bed room upstairs with a sky light. We had a balcony and the view...

We stayed two nights. We at first booked a one bedroom, however brought my sister along so had to stay in a cascade suite. However it was not ready so on the spot we got upgraded to a one bedroom plus loft. It was very spacious for the 3 adults and 2 kids. My kids are 4 and 7, they...

We stayed in a loft unit that slept six people. The kitchen was fully equipped and we had a great view of the mountains from our balcony. There was underground parking so that was very convenient as the elevator was close. We used the shuttle service that stopped right in front of the resort to go to downtown Banff. There...

We stayed at Douglas Fir resort in August and were very pleased. We had a studio suite with 1 queen bed and a sofa pullout. Even with four people and all of our luggage we had plenty of room to move about the room. We were very pleased with the kitchen which had a full size refrigerator, oven and tiny...

While our room was over the shop and a little noisy at times we must congratulate the staff on their help with the location of an item left in the room after we checked out. They kept in regular contact with us via email and organized the postage back home. Could not ask for better service. Thanks so much.

Room has older, cabin feel, but they paid attention to the details: murphy bed in living room, kitchen, nightlight in bathroom to help you find it, safe in room, DVD player in room, supplies to make fire in fireplace, balcony, free wireless internet. Beds are comfortable and the shower is hot. It does not look like a luxurious 5 star...

We thought this was going to be the highlight of our accommodation in the Rockies, instead it was a huge disappointment. We had a 3 Bedroom A-Frame Chalet which was quite inadequate for 6 adults. - the lounge/dining/kitchen was very small and cramped - the table had only 2 chairs, but the chalet is supposed to accommodate 6 people -...

We have been to the Douglas Fir for the past 3 years with our daughter who is now 4 years old, and we have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The playzone climbing gym itself is worth the price of the room for us - our daughter has enjoyed it from the time she was 2 up to now, finding new ways...
