We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room ( #301) was large, comfortable, and charming. Despite being on main street Banff, it was very quiet ( maybe wouldn't be as quiet at busier times?). The room was clean and the bed very comfy. It is right off Banff Ave, which means that you can walk to the many restaurants and shops that are nearby. (Including the Banff Tea Co., which is right downstairs and has excellent tea! There is a continental breakfast that is decent. Toast, bagels, etc, as well as a couple of hot options. (Sausage patties and a warm pastry.) Fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal as well. There is paid parking on site ($10 a day). We will definitely be staying here again. Good value!
Perfect location but this hotel is dated and our room was very small. There are no mini fridges in the rooms so we had to put things outside to keep cool and hope they didn’t freeze. We don’t recall them charging guests for parking last time we stayed. Pillows were awful and beds seem like they need replacing. Had to run bathroom water for a few minutes before it got warm. Rooms were noisy. Garbage trucks start coming every morning at around 7am. You could hear neighboring rooms using the washroom and talking. The “no skis in room” policy Isn’t followed... and people were also tromping down the hall in their ski boots early in the morning. Overpriced for what you get. The only really good thing is the location. Unfortunately, we likely won’t stay here again.
Room was nice & spacious & warm & clean. Was pretty quiet in the hotel. Breakfast was pretty decent. I missed the part about parking not being included in the rate, but it was heated - just assumed cost wasn't additional. Location was right in the heart of Banff, so was really nice to walk around.
We stayed here in September and it was just fab. Such a great location, it was part of the pedestrian zone that had been implemented and had underground parking which was good value for money. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a little basic but helped us out when we had to get out early for a trip, although busy. We went later the next day and we had the room to ourselves. Our room was spacious, we were allocated one of the fab rooms overlooking Bear Street with a balcony. Loved it, with an awesome view, comfortable chairs on the balcony and although there was a bar opposite we didn't hear it late at night. Bath salts were supplied for the jacuzzi bath and the room was very clean. I loved it and would happily stay again, I've recommended it to friends who are going next September. Thank you …
A quirky hotel right in the centre of Banff. Very convenient with an underground car park. Our room overlooked a Mexican restaurant which was quite rowdy some nights. Old fashioned but clean. Jacuzzi bath! Breakfasts served in a windowless basement weren’t brilliant but filled a gap. Cookies available on the reception desk were delicious!
We were diverted to Banff from Jasper due to forest fires and were due to stay at this hotel 2 days later called them to add two extra days only to be quoted $1100 for two nights bed and breakfast. Realised after a while that pretty much everywhere in Banff is expensive even though the hotel is only 3 star level. Check in is not until 4 pm and your luggage is just left under an open staircase, it is in view of the reception staff but when we came back to take something out of our cases nobody asked who we were. The room was a good size, ensuite had a shower over the bath, TV reasonable size, heating but no AC, a safe but no fridge included There is an eating area in the basement not many tables so might be a problem if very busy. Breakfast was included it is fairly basic but certainly better than nothing if your expectations are low you will find it fine. A previous hotel we stayed in Banff gave out free local bus passes but the Brewsters does not it would have been a cheap small gesture we would have appreciated. The hotel is situated among the bars and restaurants there was some late night noise but on the whole it was well sound proofed. Brewsters is a 3 star standard at 5 star prices but you have to pay Banff rates so expect to pay that everywhere.…
If you are gluten free then this is the hotel for you! It’s the first time that I have had cereal labeled gluten free! Also when I commented on the gluten free option the lovely hotel lady even gave me gluten free bread! Never stayed in a hotel that had both gluten free cereal and gluten free bread! What a treat! Thank you so much! My breakfast is usually limited to bananas and peanut butter and a boiled egg at the majority of hotels.
Loved this hotel. Room was a perfect size, clean with all the amenities needed. Breakfast was continental but substantial enough. Great WiFi. Staff brilliant. Very happy here for our short 3 night stay.
Lovely hotel in a great location, next to the shops and restaurants. The room on the 3rd floor was nice and quite and comfortable. The breakfast room was a bit complicated to to get to , up and down stairs and corridors , the breakfast choice was not enormous but adequate to get you going for the day.
Property fell well short of expectations ! Considering the cost of the stay, definitely not worth it ! We were given a room where we had to lug our suitcases up and down to access the room. No elevator to the floor, seems like the rooms were add ones later down the road. Window opened up to a property work area which was occupied by staff at most times ! No A/C and no real ventilation to speak of ! Weather was very hot and the room was humid and muggy ! Making matters worse there was no ventilation in the washroom ! When you had a shower it was liking walking into a sauna ! Considering the cost of our stay, not a great choice !!The only positive thing I have to say about this property is the front desk staff were very friendly and professional !!
