Room was simple and clean. Location was perfect for exploring the town. Right next to some great walking paths along the river. The staff was very friendly, providing excellent food and activity recommendations. They also watched our stuff for a few days at no extra charge while we went exploring in the backcountry. Best of all, staying here supports a...

You need to know... it's an old hospital...We booked last minute on Booking, so didn't look much into the reviews before doing so, the pictures from the outside looked really nice and all.. the walk to our room was a huge surprise, we felt like it had a hospital look and feel; which is really awkward when you're expecting a...

Hi KakleenTravel, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. You are spot on in noticing we are indeed located in what was once the original Banff Mineral Springs Hospital, and part of the rich history of our mountain town. The YWCA Banff Hotel is a social enterprise, meaning that 100% of all revenue generated is invested into...

Good clean room, ensuite, kitchen facilities downstairs. Free wifi. Minutes walk from Banff Avenue and a bus ride to Sulphur Mountain. Helpful staff. Bed a bit hard but not uncomfortable. Great value for money with an excellent location.

We stayed at the YWCA in Banff and we paid just about half the price of other hotels in the area. The rooms are very basic with just a double bed, no TV but basic amenities. You can also stay in a dorm room to save even more $$$. We stayed in the double room for more privacy. The rooms...

Booked a double bed. Everything was clean and the room was warm. Wifi a bit spotty in the room, but fine in lobby--plus, it's good to disconnect while in nature, right? Left my bag in storage room and totally safe. Very friendly staff. Would recommend it as an inexpensive but awesome place to stay while in Banff.

We selected this hotel as we left booking accomodation rather late (unsure of travel plans) and other options seemed excessively overpriced. Positives: - CHEAP ! - clean, no frills, basic room , basic property - seriously tiny shower but really good - free parking - kitchen & laundry facilities - staff were lovely! Negative: - more like hostel - younger...

Honestly would not recommend this place to anyone EVER. Absolutely disgusting kitchen- I've stayed in hostels for five years but this was by far the worst I have ever experienced. Not to mention the house keeping staff would complain in front of the guests all the time about cleaning down there. They also would "punish" the hostel stayers by confiscating...

My wife and I stayed here one night on Dec. 31 to partake in New Year's Eve festivities followed by Jan. 1 ski day at Sunshine. We stayed in a double room with en suite bathroom. For our needs, this hotel was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was firm and hotel staff very friendly. We stayed...

I thought this hostel was a great deal (only $38!) and the most affordable place to crash for a night. I was in a room with 7 other girls who were really nice. Bunk beds were clean and there was ample floor space plus 2 storage closets in the room to store extra stuff. I liked that the shower was...

Put in position of founding a place within 2 weeks traveling - difficult to found 3 nights, but this place had 1 room that covered my dates! Yeah! I was truly happy to find something and then at a reasonable price. I had checked hotels & B&Bs. We had room 315 that faced the court yard with 2 of the...
