I read some negative reviews, but we really liked it, the views are awesome, the bed was fine and the room was clean, yes it could use some updating, but for the price it was well worth the money and the bistro was right down the hall and is wonderful. Plus the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Located across the highway from the town of Banff at the bottom of Norquay ski hill. Amazing location, tucked away in the wilderness but really close to the town, skiing, and running paths. Front desk staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. Rooms are awesome, some smaller than others but seriously great. Comfortable, clean and not a bad view from any...

What a lovely review of The Juniper Hotel; thank you so much for sharing! Our location is very unique as we are in a secluded area, yet just a two minute drive to downtown Banff and have easy access to activities in the area! Look forward to seeing you again soon. This is a dog friendly hotel with our quiet room facing the forest. Nice hardwood floors in the sleeping area. A fair amount of fine art throughout the hotel. I would liked to have seen Rundel Mountain but the late May snow storm blocked the view.

The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Our two rooms, one on the main floor at the front and one at the back on the second floor were perfect, comfortable, roomy and very clean. The views were great from both rooms. We ate at the Bistro two evenings, the first was superb ( the chef's special menu), but...

While I do recommend eating here, I do not recommend staying here. The restaurant is amazing, but the hotel is below average. The photos and description suggest it is out in nature, but in reality it is right on the transcanada highway. When I asked for a room opposite the highway, they told me not to worry, that we wouldn't...

The Juniper was more than a hotel room. It was our home away from home as we were there for 10 nights. Our selection of a deluxe valley view with a balcony turned out to be the best choice we could have made. It snowed the first nite we were there, so we woke up to a winter wonderland and...

Room huge with good facilities. Bonus of balcony with deer on patio in front of bistro. Good food and very comfy. Bistro had good menu and the service was excellent. View down the valley to Banff Springs Hotel and surrounding mountains.

Not in the center of Banff, but not more than a couple of minutes drive to the town. Conveniently located on the Hwy 1, very convenient as a basecamp whether you are skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer. The hot tub has a marvelous views and the rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and recently renovated. The bathroom...

I stayed at the Juniper a few years ago and got an "economy" room with a regular view. This time I stayed in another room and the difference is clear. Pros: You have an amazing view to the mountains every day. I spent hours in my room taking pictures and enjoying the sunrise and sunset. The staff is very friendly...

My partner and I stayed on the upper floor with a valley view for a few nights in late April; as it was shoulder season I believe we got a discount rate, which made it a really excellent value. The hotel was a great location for what we were in Banff for - easy access to downtown Banff for all...
