A lovely historic property, the Rocky Mountain B&B is well-run. It's a comfortable place to stay; the prices are very reasonable and there is an excellent hot breakfast in the morning. Muffins and bread for toasting are always available, as well as tea and coffee, so if you need a late night snack, you can fix it for yourself. The...

We spent two nights here during our visit to Banff. The location was great, on a quiet street but just a short walk from the main drag. We did hear trains at night but I am guessing everywhere in Banff hears them. We had the large room on the top floor and it was great with a separate bedroom, living...

The host was generous and accommodating, the location is just superb and only a short few minutes walk to the town centre. The breakfast was great and will cater for all tastes. The breakfast changes each day and we don't eat pancakes so we were made scrambled eggs without any hesitation. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The...

Very good place to stay, just 3 min walking from the town center. Nice double room well equiped with kitchen facilities. Cozy shared living room area. Excelent breakfast with one daily cooking main course and other multiple options to choise and complement (cereals, toasts, jam, etc.)

The B&B is 120yr old home so it does not have all the modern amenities that will make everyone happy but they do a fantastic job! The location is wonderful- walk able into town. Breakfasts r done very well with choices of cereals and breads in addition to a gourmet breakfast. Teas and coffees r available for an afternoon pick...

Stayed here twice on our way up & down the Icefields Parkway. Very quirky but, very clean and quiet. No wardrobes and coffee only in the lounge. (No decaff. in spite of being told there would be). The welcome & the breakfast were fantastic and decaff. was brought to us then. Only a short stroll from shops, restaurants & bars.

One of the few places in Banff that have a hot breakfast included, that was a definite plus. We stayed for 3 nights in the basement room with 2 single beds, there was a small kitchenette which was handy. There was also a really nice balcony area where you could meet other guests over a glass of wine.

What a sweet little place! We had a room with 1 queen bed, and a little sink - lots of space to unpack clothes in closets/ wardrobe if you wanted. Shared bathrooms (2 on the second floor where our room was) - 1 with a shower stall, the other with a full tub option. There was a lovely ceiling fan...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are an intimate high-country inn situated three blocks east of Banff Avenue on Otter Street in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The building dates from 1907 and has 10 guest rooms and a gorgeous main lounge and dining room. We use excellent ingredients, serve locally roasted organic coffee and vary our menu daily. This historic mountain home is warm and spacious. It was used extensively in the '30s by CPR work crews as a boarding house. For the following forty years it was known as Douglas House and served as tourist accommodation. The Inn was fully restored in the late '80s and has had recent renovations to maintain its original character and substantial mountain charm. We have four suites, which suit small families, as well as simple and elegant double rooms. Our dining room and lounge are open to guest use during the day and there is a television in the lounge. We have private off-street parking to accommodate guests with vehicles. However, once you are in Banff many activities and walks are accessible by foot from the B&B. ... more   less
