Staying here is a very unique experience. There are only 16 rooms in this authentic lodge and it is only opened 5 months of the year. The summary to this mathematic analysis is: you need to make a lot of money in those 5 months to keep the place functioning throughout the year. The rooms are very clean - which...

What a beautiful setting in the wilderness! The exceptionally friendly staff members are eager and proud to share the interesting history of the rustic buildings. The dining menu is appropriate and unique to the Rockies. I would certainly recommend the venison medallions, but there are many other options I'm sure would be equally delicious, including vegetarian. The staff went above...

My husband and I stayed here as part of a Backroads Canadian Rockies cycling trip. It was truly an amazing and unique experience. The lodge is authentically rustic and inviting. We felt like we were far from civilization, and yet we felt comfortable and welcome. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, and we enjoyed...

We arrived at the lodge on a warm summer evening, and after walking up the stairs (such a nice change after several hours in a car) to our room, we took in the view from our window (and the rather nice warning about the local sneaky birds), and set to walking along the lake shore before having a lovely dinner...

Overall, decent stay in spectacular setting. Restaurant and service were excellent. Rooms quite dated, so be prepared. Food is great. Walks great. Views great. All that said, price is a bit on the high side.

We arrived at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge (or Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah) as a surprise birthday gift from my family. As one drives up to the Lodge one is struck by the beauty of the nearby Bow Lake and Glacier. Stepping into the Lodge one could be stepping back into the 1940's or 1950's as this is an authentic tourist lodge. It is gorgeous...

I can see the "charm" some people may find in this place, but in terms of price per value you get way less than other lodges in the area. I ordered the room with the lake view only to hear our neighbours from upstairs the minute we walked in. The place is so old you really hear anything from everywhere....

We strive to provide clean and functional amenities, options for supplementary heat and friendly, above-and-beyond service for our guests. We stayed one night, beautiful location right by the Lake. There is a rustic element to the place and a sense of history. However the standard of the room left a lot to be desired considering the price charged. While the bed was large, high of the ground and excellent, the bathroom was digusting, it was so old, it was...

Dear JudyGraham, Thank you so much for choosing us as part of your authentic Rocky Mountain experience. I am sorry to hear your impressions of our Lodge did not meet your expectations. Wonderful location --- that is the best thing about it .
