Wasn't off to a great staff from the beginning. Staff at front desk seemed disinterested, our room keys wouldn't work and had to be reset a couple times but that's ok I can live with that. Be prepared for incredibly long waits for elevators and sometimes having the elevator light switch off and decide nope, not picking you up this...

We stayed here for 1 night and it wasn't too bad. The location is pretty good right in downtown. About a 15 min walk down to the Stephen Ave Walk. There is plenty of food options just across the road. There is a fitness centre and swimming pool at the hotel. The rooms are okay, a little tired but not...

I stay at this hotel once every three months and have done so for the past few years. In that time I have really seen the age of the hotel show in deteriorated interior of the decor. Still, the rooms are clean, I feel safe in the building and the staff are all great. Just a little additional I care...

Hotel was located in the heart of the city centre, so it was close to shops etc. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere around the bar. The only down side was the pool area, the jacuzzi wasn't working and the pool room was dark and uninviting, not what is advertised in the pictures....

Not a terrible hotel, but also not a great one. While this hotel is in the city center, you have to walk at least 5-10 minutes to get to a decent restaurant or bar. Not bad in the summer, but in winter this can seem like an eternity. Rooms could use some updating but were overall clean and spacious. Amenities...

I booked three rooms this past weekend for my friends and I, was really impressed with the staff. Shelley the front desk agent was really kind and accommodating. The rooms could use some TLC it was pretty run down but the beds were clean which is most important. Some things like a broken wall, weird patches on the ceiling, peeling...

Sandman Hotel in downtown Calgary is an odd place. Nestled amongst the numerous oil company highrises along 7th Avenue SW, from the outside it gives the impression of conscious modernity. Moxie`s Bar and Grill, within the hotel building, is very popular with the up and coming young people; for the rest of us, it is dark and noisy, a sports...

Is away from the city centre I had trouble getting transport down town and then back again. Not somewhere I would stay again. Didn't have a comfy feel at all and when I asked for a kettle to make tea I was given a strange look and had the phone slammed down in my ear. The room was clean and...
