Price is sort of high but service is excellent - access to pool and fitness facilities and basic good breakfast included in price of room. This is the place to stay if you are on campus of University of Calgary. A really nice introduction to the University.

New building, everything looks good and works well. My room (queen sized bed) was small, but it was a lot bigger than a tiny room we had in Paris. Staff was great. The included breakfast is not impressive, but it's functional. It's a 10 minute walk to the C-Train (the Calgary light rail); they run often, and it's maybe 15...

The number of social rooms, kitchens, and other amenities available are awesome. Also, the rooms are great. I went with my partner and we went for the 'smallest' room. It's a double bed, wonderful area for a desk, and TONS of storage with on-suite kitchen. The on-suite kitchen is shared with a neighbour, if the neighbour is there. However, most...

While being on campus was great, the room was INCREDIBLY small, and the breakfast absolutely not like how it used to be (boiled eggs on a Saturday morning? only apples and oranges for fruit? no cereal? etc.). We parked the car, gave the license plate, but had a ticket the next morning (the hotel cancelled the charge by the next...

I would say ideal for anyone visiting the University. Within walking distance of the sports and Olympic stadiums. Good: Thinks it must be made of concrete, very quiet (but small) rooms. Lots of food within walking distance. Rooms are modern with all the amenities. Housekeeping was the best ever. Lots of areas around to sit/study/socialize. Bad: Parking too far away....

Stayed in December and again yesterday as an overnight to move our student back home. Front desk help is pretty emotionally removed. Not sure why. Anyways that isn't the issue. $175 dollars for a tiny room with a huge gap at the bottom of door to ensure you here EVERYTHING that is happening in the hallway. Okay, not the end...

I stayed 2 nights at the Alma while at a conference on University of Calgary campus. The rooms are Euro style and therefore quite small. The amenities in the rooms are only adequate and at 3 pm my room had not been cleaned. The sink in the bathroom has no depth and is a strange choice for a single sink...

Booked the hotel using a 3rd party website. Website shows Queen size bed and nice amenities so I booked it. When I got to the hotel, it was a studio apartment. Asked the front desk if I can book a different room as I was willing to pay the extra price however they said that all the rooms are "studio...

Hotel Alma is a boutique hotel that is near university of Calgary. Close to downtown. Accommodations are decent. Great rate. Don't let the 3* scare you as it is classy and clean as a 5*. Breakfast included. Parking is 10.00 a night. Bath and body works shampoos and soaps.

Stayed one night for a conference. The rooms were compact but had everything I needed (mini fridge, microwave, free wifi). Front desk staff were professional and friendly. I was able to get a free gym pass to the University gym from the front desk which was a nice touch.
