This was a short getaway for my family and I during May long weekend.
Upon arrival we were greeted promptly with excellent service. We found the staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
We stayed in the King Suite on the higher level.

A last minute stay here enroute back home to Edmonton. It had been quite some time since our last stay here (about 7yrs I think) and it had always been one of my favourites in Calgary. I was curious to see if it still had...More

This is a great hotel in a very nice downtown location. The rooms are all suites - large, clean and well equipped. The staff are great and the SPG members lounge is one of the nicest around with a rooftop section. An excellent stay in...More

Nice rooms. Big comfy beds. One complaint was it was a bit hot. By the second night temp was good. I’ve taken to calling ahead and asking hotels to lower the temp before we check in! Haha has helped me a lot as a hot...More

Hi, Depending what time of year you are in Calgary, there are all kinds of attractions! Not likely any challenging hiking in downtown, but lots of great walks including Prince's Island Park and a scenic walk to the Zoo at St.George's island. Biking, rollerblading along the River path goes from downtown to Bowmont Park in the Northwest or all the way to Chestermere Lake in the Southeast. In the winter, lots of indoor attractions including shopping in The Core, the Calgary Tower, even the Zoo which has plenty of indoor exhibits to keep you warm. This would be an excellent location if you came in July for the Calgary Stampede as the Light rail train is 2 stops from the fair-grounds.
This is a high end hotel with all the comfort amenities like A/C, downtown views, valet underground parking and restaurants.
Just like some of the others commented...yes there is other parking (literally across the street from the hotel) but yes you have to pay. You can also park on the street and if you are up for getting up early (like by 7am... More
Just like some of the others commented...yes there is other parking (literally across the street from the hotel) but yes you have to pay. You can also park on the street and if you are up for getting up early (like by 7am) you may be able to play that game of less $$ but you need to be on top of things. Valet and self are both really good options however.
