Disclaimer; I work as an event manager and spend my fair share of time at hotels! The Fairmont Hotel Mac has been by far the nicest property in Edmonton for quite some time. They could ride on the laurels that come with that, but they don't and that is one of the things I love about this spot. There is...

This is a beautiful property as you would expect from a Fairmont. The service was good and the staff was attentive with requests. The location is perfect as well. My only complaint is that for those who are sensitive to smells/perfume, the hotel still perfumes the rooms and it was quite pungent. I'm dumbfounded that places still add perfume to...

This is one of the nicer old CP hotels, situated on the North Saskachwan River with spectactular views - a little smaller then most of them. The fitness centre is better then average for hotels, great pool and a decent hotel bar. If business takes you to this end of the city, i would highly recomend. The suites have been...

The old gothic hotel in the heart of Edmonton is quite nice. It's got all the usual fineries you'll find in a Fairmont. But at the end of the day, for the price one is paying, there is not a lot of updating that has gone into this fine landmark building. In fact it's quite shabby in some places and...

We frequently visit Fairmont Hotels (including Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Ottawa, Kona, Scottsdale). We had a bad experience at the Hotel Macdonald. We spent approximately $1000 for three rooms. Two of the rooms were on either side of a room with a screaming baby, which was incredibly frustrating as we had stressed the importance of having quiet rooms as...

Much like the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, I feel like I'm being transported in Canadian history when i walk into the hotel. A beautiful hotel throughout with serious gravitas. An amazing patio overlooking the city. Rooms are large, spacious and tastefully decorated.

Thank you for upgrading us to the deluxe suite which was a great surprise to us. Our bedroom was clean and the food was amazing at the confederation lounge. Stayed one night while up in Edmonton. Had a king room, well appointed and dry very comfy bed. Friendly service from the front door to the front desk, to the restaurant. I'd highly recommend and will return when back in town.

It's very old hotel and that's why it's unique. Rooms are very old and smelly a little but the things I love about this hotel is their amazing food at the restaurant and amazing view of the river on the patio . I go there summer or winter. I love it
