This visit represented a second visit to PLR for our annual family Christmas vacation. It is one of very few locations that can accommodate our group of 9 adult family members. As an added bonus, our two dogs were able to stay with us too. We booked two Tekarra suites, which are two level, two bedroom suites with a small...

Found an amazing mid-week January rate ($98/night for a Cavell suite—queen bed plus a sitting area with a sofa bed). This is the resort's most basic room, but it was comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. Nice bed, up-to-date bathroom. Mini-fridge and coffee maker (no microwave). The reliable free wi-fi is sufficient for email and basic browsing but (as in most...

Jasper is one of my favourite destinations any time of the year! This trip was really special because it included my husband, our 1-month old son (his first of many trips to the mountains), my parents, my brother (visiting from BC), and my husband's parents and sister (visiting from Switzerland). I usually stay in-town, but made a very calculated decision...

From the moment I booked, the staff were great! They accommodated our early arrival and on our last day, they allowed us an hour later check in so that we could sneak in one last morning hike! The people at the front desk were enthusiastic, welcoming, upbeat and ready to offer their own experience of the area to help with...

Pyramid Lake Resort is located a short distance away from the Jasper town site. If you’re not familiar with Jasper, Pyramid Lake Resort is actually “up” the mountain from the back of the town site so the easiest way to get there is to find “Pyramid Lake Road” which is off Jasper’s main strip road (Connaught Dr) by Bear’s Paw...

Pyramid Lake Resort is a lovely place to stay. It is a little bit out of the town of Jasper (5mins by car) but the reward of a lovely lake & the peace & quiet is well worth it. Our room was a good size comfortable tidy & clean. Staff friendly. Did try the restaurant for breakfast a little pricey...

We have heard previously from others about this resort. We chose it as we were looking for a quiet place in the mountains for hiking and snow shoeing, and accommodated pets. Lots of trails around the premises for this and great for our dog. Also available is cross country skiing trails and on the lake, kids also did some skating...

Pyramid Lake Resort in Jasper lacks some of the refinement of others in the town proper, but you can't beat the location. Sunrises over the lake in the morning, a short hike to loop from the resort around to Pyramid Island for picnics or great night-sky photography, and lake access right off the main entry. Parking is ample and even...

I've been coming to Jasper at least six times every year for the past five years. Sometimes, I get adventurous and stay at a hotel that isn't Pyramid Lake Resort...And every time I do, I regret it. Yes, it's even better than Jasper Park Lodge...And WAY cheaper! Why? Pyramid Lake Resort is a quaint, quiet, lodge-type setting in front of...
