My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in late May. We had booked room 1 with a four poster bed and ensuite shower room. The hotel is very authentic and let you slips back into the late 19th Century. The room as mentioned on the website is not very big, so ideal to just bring an overnight bag(...

This year on our family vacation we hit the road and ended up at the world famous Baskerville. Its a blast from the past and to top it off we stayed a night in the St. George Hotel. A period hotel from the 1800's. The stay included a lovely home cooked breakfast to start your day off right. No big...

Make sure you check the facilities for each room when booking online. We had a king size four poster bed with a view over the main street and access to a balcony running the width of the hotel out front. There was not much room around the bed but the ensuite was a welcome addition. It is very easy to...

Top Notch Hostess Saya, greets you warmly, we stayed in room 7 which has the only canopy type bed. My Husband and I had a most wonderful stay for the 3 days we were there. You can take food to the balcony, but no food is permitted in your room. Saya has evening tea around 7:30pm or so each evening,...

Park in the parking lot and retrieve a small wagon to cart your luggage to the hotel. Warmly greeted by the Proprietoress, Saya, who has owned the hotel for ten years. We had a nice room at the back with a private bathroom and shower (nice). The upstairs balcony is open for all guests with a great view of the...

Perfect distance from the House Hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms. 3 of the rooms have their own bathrooms with the rest sharing 2 rooms per bathroom. The ambiance and service is welcoming and perfect for the setting in the heart of Barkerville.

My husband and I recently stayed at the St. George Hotel and had the most amazing experience! Beautifully restored historic hotel. The owner is delightful, her and her staff were helpful, respectful and had a great sense of humour. Both evenings we were there, we were delighted to sit up late socializing with other guests and sipping wine in the...

My wife & I stayed at the St George on a recent (mid June) trip to Barkerville. We weren't sure what to expect, but were left happy with our decision, principally because being in the hotel meant we had free run of the town after & before the site was open to the public. Our room (#7) was small but...

Stay overnight in a historic town site? Yeah, baby! The St George is about midway down the main street, close to everything. 8 or 9 rooms, each decorated differently, some with private bath, some with shared bath (shower, sink, toilet). breakfast menu is small (pancakes or omelets) but done right. Parlor is cozy. Dining table for all guests am brkfst....
