Making a run from Vancouver to Edmonton, needed a place to crash for a few hours and book at lamplighter. I didn't make it there till 230am and it didnt matter, woke the manager and she was still just as pleasant as could be! Room was clean and comfortable. Was great for a pit stop along the trip!

In a world where people are more interested in making money rather than achieving customer service, this small motel is run with a fine ideal of small town hospitality. Needed a spot to stay, whilst working for a catering company and was welcomed with open arms. Clean room, great housekeeping and reasonable rates, Well worth staying here! So much better... More

the room smells. and I dont think that they wash the sheets regularly. oh and we went out for the day and when we got back, the staff cleaned the room and replaced the cups that we used although we didnt tell or put any signs about getting our room cleaned. so that is not really ok considering that the... We booked a double queen room for one night. There was not a lot of spare room but it had obviously been updated recently and was spotlessly clean. Price was about what I expected and I think we got good value for our money. There was no breakfast included but it was near to a few restaurants so that really... More

Not a bad little place. Clean, great hot tub jets and nice working sauna and clerk was nice. And right off highway so easy to locate. Room pretty small and tight, especially shower area and toliet, but quaint and was happy that they updated tvs and not tiny in size and not a super old school picture, actually have high... More

We were pleasantly surprised with our room. Fairly quiet, king bed, lovely bathroom, free wiifii. Even though we were near the tracks and trains ran all night - we barely heard them. The only drawback was to keep the room cold enough with the AC we had to endure a very loud fan even on the low setting. Overall though,... More

It is conveniently located off the highway. The rooms are adequate. You do get cable tv, a.c., and a kitchenette. The customer service was mediocre. Maybe it was a bad day but check seemed robotic or lacking care. I wouldn't give my money again. Didn't seem to appreciate the business and that I chose their motel over all the others.

I'll grant you it is a budget property but they do a reasonable job trying to keep it clean and comfortable. For me, price is a large trade-off as I get a limited LOA $ and mostly here on layovers as I work moving oversize loads at night (pilot car). I always sleep good, shower is great, good TV and... This motel location is very closed to downtown Kamloops. It has every facilities inside, very convenient for traveller. Big room with dedicated parking lot in front of your room. Very affordable price with nice service, just like the typical motels in the movie. I definitely will visit again.

Stayed there 2 nights. It is clean, rooms are spacious, 40" tv with good selection on cable. Owner is very courteous and helpful. Close to many restaurants, gas station, liquor store etc. Only drawback is that it is across the hwy from a rail yard. So there are trains moving all night. Internet is a little slow. Would stay again... More

“Ask for a renovated room. There are trains and road noise as they are just off the highway. Sometimes the fan or AC will cover it. We usually leave the fan in the bathroom on all night to muffle it.”
