This was my first visit to Prince Rupert. I choose my hotel based on reviews and comments from other travelers. The hotel is a re-branded Coast Hotel so I knew that it would have some signs of its age. The hotel is centrally located making it easy to walk to almost everything. The staff were always very pleasant and willing...

Dear Gordtgr, Thank you for your feedback. We are currently working on renovations to our guest washrooms and have completed about 30% of our guest rooms. We are aware of the issues with the elevators and we have inspections done monthly to ensure their safety. Our egg handling procedure does follow food safe guidelines, however we understand that not all...

We live in Haida Gwaii, and traveled to Prince Rupert for a weekend getaway. The ferry schedule is limited, and we walked on, so had nowhere to put our luggage at 7am when the ferry arrived. We had nowhere else to go, so went to the hotel with 3 kids in tow. The hotel checked us in at 7 am!!!...

I've stayed at "the Rupert" a number of times over the years and have thus witnessed it's various transformations from a "Coast" hotel property, for example, to its recent rebranding as a "Prestige" hotel. Like the city of Prince Rupert, the Prestige has seen and witnessed much over the years. One thing I will say: despite the various changes, there...

Dear PookyCake, Thank you for your kind words. We have been hard at work here over the past year and are currently working on our guest washrooms. The exterior of the building is up for tender and we are hoping to see some changes over the next year. As for the restaurant, that is the next phase of our renovations...

I am currently staying here for a longish visit to Prince Rupert. All staff have been very friendly and helpful. The room is clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is dated but also very clean with fluffy towels. Breakfast is good, would be awesome if the coffee was a little stronger! And if they offered some more protein like...

We booked through BC Vacations and the hotel was definitely the highlight. We had a little trouble with our hot water upon arrival but lead by Wade at the front desk were made very comfortable and placed into a beautiful room. Thank you Wade for making our vacation comfortable!

I spent the night in Prince Rupert for work and recognized the name. The building itself is old, and very dated looking on the outside, but inside has been very nicely renovated. The room was small, but nicely appointed and clean, the only complaint would be the heater, it was noisy and didn't seem to be able to regulate the...

Thank you for your review. The exterior will be getting a well-deserved makeover to reflect our interior upgrades. We are currently undergoing renovations to our guest washrooms. Glad to hear our plentiful continental breakfast was a great way to start your day. We hope you enjoyed your complimentary upgrade and look forward to seeing you the next time you’re in...

Checked in here at midnight following a ferry trip from Port Hardy. The town and this hotel are very functional. The rooms are comfortable and we had a good nights sleep following a long day however the hotel is a bit tired. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is included in the price and we set off the next day...

Very polite (genuine and easy going) and accommodating staff. Rooms are as depicted in photographs and are clean and well furnished...standard room - microwave, fridge, large flat screen, clean fully supplied bath/shower. There is an on-site breakfast area; useful on the fly drinks, waffles, fruit, boiled eggs, toast, bagels, but lounge is no longer present. Free guest computer(s)/printer use in lobby....

This was booked for us by our travel agent as a one-night stop between the train from Jasper (two days via Prince George) and the ferry to Port Hardy. Clearly the travel agent has never done this journey. It was ridiculously tiring. We arrived worn out and hungry at the hotel at 9.15 and had to leave the following morning...

Stayed at this hotel prior to and following our Haida Gwaii trip. Happy with the accommodation but more particularly want to give kudos to one of their reception staff - Ward Bond. Super friendly fellow. Had to use their scanning and printing facilities and he made sure that the process was smooth. It was always nice to see his friendly...
