I stayed there for 2 nights in the Dorn area. The place is in general clean, light and well sorted. Laundry with warm wash, dryer and liquid. The staff was quick, nice and helpfull. The town centre, grocery stores and restaurants all in walking distance. Great place, thank you!

My dog and I stayed here while my partner was in the hospital. It was comfortable and conveniently located in a nice part of town for dog walking, good coffee, restaurants, beer, green park space and site seeing. I made use of the kitchen(stove and fridge).

I stay here every spring during an annual group trip to Smithers from Ketchikan, AK. The building is very pretty and nicely remodeled. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The staff and owners are friendly and easy-going. I would highly recommend the Pioneer as the place to stay in Prince Rupert.

I was really impressed and thankful for how both the owner and evening staff went out of their way while they were busy doing other work tasks, in helping me out by signing me into a room early and doing my laundry as a favour to me.

Bed was clean. Policies were clear. The showers were plentiful, hot and clean as well. The kitchen was spacious. Happy it was right across the street from a Panago with great salads on my late train arrival!

Great location close to downtown and very close to our favourite seafood eatery, Dolly's. The original building is over 100 years old, has a lot of charm with high ceilings and wood features. The building has had a lot of makeovers which are very modern yet tasteful and with a lot of character. We spent Christmas Day with other guests...
