One of the worst hotel experiences.... Save yourselves a little money and a HUGE disappointment. For a Relais & Chateau Hotel you would expect a certain level of staff. We arrived and were met by a really unprofessional (but thought she was super) Australian girl with scruffy unkempt hair and a supercilious attitude. We were told that there was no...

Dear petewithleese, We are very disappointed to learn that you did not enjoy your stay with us. It is our goal to provide our guests with the most memorable world class experience, unequalled by any coastal inn from Mexico to Alaska and we are truly sorry to learn this did not happen during your stay. We sincerely apologize that upon...

The "Wick" is a wonderful spot - our room was beautifully appointed, with a view over the "secret cove" and the rocks and islands beyond - couldn't imagine a better view. The staff were over-the-top friendly and accommodating. We took the complementary nature walk with Silva, which was extremely informative on the flora and fauna or both the beach and...

Fantastic scenery and an excellent venue to witness Mother Nature at work. The staff were incredibly helpful with area knowledge and history. Food was amazing as was the entire experience. The Wick is definitely on our list of places to return to.

I can't say my family and I have ever been treated better during a hotel stay. Staff at the Wick were 100% committed to making our visit enjoyable. They suceeded. Being at the hotel during storm season was also incredible. Listening to the crashing waves while in the arms of Morpheus.. we will certainly be back!

Simply stated, we absolutely loved the place. We totally enjoyed a third floor room in the At-the-Pointe building looking directly out over rocks to the water . . . from both the bedroom AND the bathroom--and from the deck we also had a nice view down intoThe Pointe restaurant which looked pleasingly mellow at night after we had returned to...

Best hotel in Tofino area, highly recommended for anyone visiting. Staff are very friendly, rooms are big and clean, in one word excellent, and its very quiet, will be back very soon. Great for that romantic weekend with the wife.

This was a real treat however you need to book in advance to get accommodations. While visiting tofino this is a great stop over. Great atmosphere, great service, great meals and although pricy, worth the visit. Nice to be treated as this was a gift getaway from a friend.

We had high expectations regarding the natural surroundings of Wickaninnish Inn and, in particular, of our room. We were not disappointed in any respect. Where else could you walk in a rainforest, take ten steps west and be on a beach that is six miles long and a hundred yards wide? Long Beach and Chesterman Beach (where Wick is located)...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property since 1997, overlooks the Pacific Ocean from a rocky point on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast, near the eclectic town of Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Two contemporary cedar buildings, set against a backdrop of ancient rainforest, boast an extensive local art collection (complemented by the neighbouring wood carving shed), and all rooms and suites offer ocean or beach views, gas fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony. Uncompromising service, including a Clefs d’Or Concierge team, is a standard. The sole resort on Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s longest at 2.5km/1.5mi, the Inn is home to refined West Coast cuisine at The Pointe Restaurant and naturally-inspired treatments at its intimate Ancient Cedars Spa. Tofino’s McDiarmid family welcomes you to this locally owned, world renowned sanctuary offering Rustic Elegance on Nature’s Edge. ... more   less
