The inn is very sumptuous. Rooms are well appointed from binoculars to rain gear. The view we had of the wild ocean was amazing. Room was clean and quiet and last day saw an eagle on the rocks. Went to dinner once and not impressed. Expensive and would suggest going into tofino for meals. The location is great. You need...

Expectations were high, having done the research. The third floor room exceeded expectations: large picture windows and sliding glass doors facing south and west framing postcard views - - blue water, rugged rock formations and an uncrowded smooth sand beach seen through a grove of evergreen trees. Reasonably spacious with a comfortable king bed. Saw a juvenile bald eagle on...

This was our second visit to the Wichaninnish Inn and we were not disappointed. Both times we went to celebrate our anniversary. We had exceptional service and they went out of their way to make our stay a special experience. The Pointe Restaurant was one of the best dining experiences in a room with rugged panoramic views. We lucked out...

Have been reading about this hotel for years and years, finally had the opportunity to visit. A month later I am still trying to figure it out. A beautiful setting yes. That's about it. Food was mediocre and service hit and miss, and this was in both restaurants Understaffed for sure, everywhere. Actually left breakfast one morning because there was...

Dear LPK1, Thank you for providing us with feedback of your recent stay at the Wickaninnish Inn by way of Trip Advisor. While we are pleased that you enjoyed the location and setting of the Inn, we were most disappointed to learn that you encountered service delays while dining with us and that the cleanliness of the carpet in your...

The Relais & Chateau hospitality is exemplary and a stay at the Wickaninnish Inn exuded all the charms of that exceptional service- attentive, caring, great attitude, a basket full of toys for the kids, complementary baby-sitting while we dined at the Pointe Restaurant. The location is far-flung and exotic driving through spectacular beauty of the rugged mountains, lakes, and forests!...

My wife and I stayed at Wickaninnish Inn for 2 nights in late September, a belated celebration of our anniversary in August. The scenery and sounds at the Inn were on a par with our stays at the Polo Beach Club in Maui and the Sheraton Princeville in Kauaii on our honeymoon many years ago ... though the weather was...

Greeted upon arrival by the friendly doorman. Then brought to our room. A charming, cozy , clean, well equipped, ( anything your heart could desire), kind of room, with the most delicious view of the ocean one could ask for. And the sound of the sea was ever present. Heavenly. Did I mention the incredible restaurant? I was not expecting...

We stayed for two nights in the Beach building; our room, as well as the bath, had a superb view of the beach and ocean.Staff were always friendly and accommodating. Our meal at the Pointe Restaurant was delicious with very different cuisine presentation. The next evening we chose to eat at the Driftwood Café, a more casual atmosphere. Although the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property since 1997, overlooks the Pacific Ocean from a rocky point on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast, near the eclectic town of Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Two contemporary cedar buildings, set against a backdrop of ancient rainforest, boast an extensive local art collection (complemented by the neighbouring wood carving shed), and all rooms and suites offer ocean or beach views, gas fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony. Uncompromising service, including a Clefs d’Or Concierge team, is a standard. The sole resort on Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s longest at 2.5km/1.5mi, the Inn is home to refined West Coast cuisine at The Pointe Restaurant and naturally-inspired treatments at its intimate Ancient Cedars Spa.
