This hotel goes above and beyond in their customer service. Attention to detail was noticed and appreciated the entire stay - the staff went as far as to remember my little dog's name, and asked if she had everything she needed throughout the stay! The decor and overall feel is luxurious and the ambience is classy without being snobby. The...

As a world traveler, RHG is in the highest class of luxury hotels I've stayed at. From valet to hand written welcome notes on thick stock paper with beautiful simple envelopes. Details like this accompanied by a tray of fruit and water is something the raises the bar. The staff was amazing and yet not intrusive. This can be a...

My husband, almost 2 year old daughter, and I stayed here for five nights. The hotel is beautiful and so tastefully renovated. It is a wonderful base for exploring the city. We took the Skytrain in from the airport and the Vancouver City Centre stop is basically across the street. Pretty much every bus comes along either Georgia or Granville...

We stayed at The Rosewood Hotel in Vancouver for 2 days prior to taking a cruise. The hotel offered world elegance with all the modern conveniences. The hotel staff were the best I have ever experienced. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. One time, the concierge notice that we were standing outside, looking lost...

We stayed here in July for two nights before an Alaskan cruise. Overall, the service and amenities were excellent. The front desk was very professional and polite. The hotel itself looks amazing and our room(s) were very clean. We ate at Hawksworth one night and the food was incredible. The other night we ate at the rooftop restaurant and the...

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. I felt so pampered. The elegant hotel and excellent hotel staff made this stay a plus. I loved the turn-down service with a plate of cookies each night and a fresh bottle of water including a mini clean of your room. I wish the rooms included an extra fee to include...

Beautiful hotel with an amazing restaurant. We stayed in a suite for three night and were so spoiled. The beds are amazing, so comfortable. We love the Reflections bar as well. The bathrooms beautiful and huge- they have separate his and her areas. Love this hotel.

I don't like big impersonal hotels but after 14 nights travelling we had a 2 night stay in this hotel. It was lovely - great reception, lovely bar, room (king deluxe) was big with a separate seating area and modern large bathroom (2 sinks, separate bath etc). Upon arrival the receptionist knew our first names, we had a card and...

We recently stayed at the Rosewood and found it to be excellent in all respects. Centrally located in downtown Vancouver 4 blocks up from the harbor and 1 block from the art Museum and 2 blocks from the Hotel Vancouver and new Nordstrom's. The room was good sized, the bath exceptionally large, with what I think was a heated tile...

Canada's only Rosewood is still the great hotel it was when my wife and I first stayed there almost a year ago. I tried even harder this time to find fault - and still failed, almost. The only little flaw was a slightly dour, and less-than-convivial, bartender.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
