Of the many hotels my partner and I stayed at on a recent holiday to Canada and the States, L'Hermitage provided the best customer service by far; all staff we encountered were friendly, attentive and professional. And the hotel itself is great too, I have already recommended it to others and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. A highlight... More

We stayed here before a cruise and really enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. Our greeting at the door and at reception was impeccable, our room was spacious and comfortable and the location is excellent, within easy walking distance of everything downtown. The concierge was very helpful in directing us to a delightful Yaletown restaurant for dinner, we would never... More

We have traveled around the world and have never come across such an efficient and friendly service, all the employees go out of their way to make you feel special and requests are taken care of within minutes! This really does live up to its ratings. Excellent service all the staff are really pleasant and seem determined to make everyone's stay as great as possible. This is the only hotel the company runs, which is a shame as any others would be at the top of my pick list. A Nespresso coffee machine in every room, with unlimited... More

Really a nice hotel. Reasonably priced, large rooms, great location...everything we wanted. We travel with 3 young children and stayed in a 2-bedroom signature suite. The perfect setup for us. There's a grocery store 100 feet from the hotel and a great little grill right across the street. Strongly recommend this to anyone traveling with family!

As we sit in our room about to check out we are wondering if maybe we could stow away somewhere here... we have had the most wonderful four night stay. L'Hermitage deserves it's number one spot on trip advisor. The rooms are wonderful, the breakfast fresh and plentiful but without doubt the staff here are the most helpful and polite... More

We have been very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff here at L'Hermitage. We are staying in probably one of their less expensive rooms - it was called a studio room. It is a nice large room with a desk and two armchairs by the window and a cozy fake fireplace on one wall. There is no... More

Stayed in this hotel earlier this month, and as they weren't very busy, they upgraded us to a larger room. Not only did it have a kitchen, but in the cupboard, that looked like an extra wardrobe, was a washing machine and spin-dryer. This was a godsend, as we had been travelling for 3 weeks, and needed a good launder.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
