We are very experienced travellers. On 17 November 2016, we arrived a full four hours early for check-in, hoping only to be able to securely park our vehicle while attending a nearby social function. Instead, the entire up-front l'Hermitage team went to work, not only booking us in hours early, but also providing us with a significant upgrade from a...

The front desk and other staff were so friendly and helpful. They always greeted us whether coming or going. The fella and I went for my birthday and I'm so glad we chose to stay here. Our room was quite large and we even had a large balcony that overlooked the street. The noise from the street was never heard...

We stayed at L'Hermitage for one night for our 28th anniversary and were very happy with our stay. The room was great - loved the layout and the fireplace, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect - walking distance to BC Place and many restaurants and shops. The service was excellent from the minute we walked into...

Our only regret: we didn't stay longer! From the booking of the reservation through the check out and send off, the hotel provides first class service. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Celebrating my birthday, we were lucky to receive an upgrade to a one bedroom suite with a wraparound terrace. Our valet parking was included in the...

We were so impressed with the L'Hermitage Hotel! The staff was very attentive, the hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the city center location was perfect. My husband and I traveled with our 18 month old son and we were impressed with how kid-friendly the hotel was. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, housecleaning and turn-down service was wonderful, and the...

Always our favorite place to be when visiting the city. We stayed here again for just one night on a recent trip to Vancouver. The location is perfect for walking everywhere. What makes this hotel so special is the amazing customer service, not to mention the lovely room and amenities . We always feel so very special from the moment...

We recently stayed at this hotel. We had booked a petit king room online and when we arrived the upgraded us at no extra cost to a one bedroom suite. This hotel and its staff, from reception to Michael who arranged getting our bags to our room and our vehicle parked, are fabulous. We will return for the exceptional service...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
