We stayed here as I was attending a conference nearby. The hotel as expected was very comfortable and very luxurious. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We had a wet carpet when we checked in and when we informed front office, it was taken care off immediately. The restaurant is very good as well. Each Saturday there is a...

Growing up in Vancouver Pan pacific was one of the fancy hotels to dine and brunch in. Now that I live in Toronto I wanted to show my husband the best of Vancouver. So we booked 2 rooms to stay for 5 nights with our family. One beautiful corner suit with ocean view and one city view. The rooms and...

What a place: excellent courteous staff with service beyond expectations from the moment we walked in the door 4 hours ahead of check-in time. Centrally located within walking distance of nearly everything, including commuter skytrain. We attended the Saturday opera buffet and enjoyed 3 hours of dining with excellent food and arias from local VCO singers. At the end of...

Okay so the view from the hotel is brilliant, let's park that. This is not a cheap place to stay so one expects a little more than the ordinary so here goes. Our room had beautiful views, the bathroom was out of the 50's so bad two people could not fit in it, the extractor fan did not work and...

We were in constant contact with this guest from the moment of their arrival; and have since written to the guest expressing our disappointment that we were simply unable to meet their expectations in terms of accommodation or our Pacific Club Lounge. We take pride in providing our guests with first class service in all areas of the hotel, the...

I love this hotel! In my 20's I worked across the street and every time we come back to Vancouver - this is where we stay because you just can't beat it. This last time I actually considered other options. My basic list of non-negotiables are: view, service, cleanliness, value and amenities. The Pan Pacific is hands down the choice...

Extremely nice hotel. You can walk out the door and everything is right there. It is right on the Canada Pier. If you are taking a cruise, this is the place to be. The hotel deals with your luggage and you just have to walk right downstairs. At night it is quiet because only foot traffic is around it. The...

We stayed in this hotel for one night before our cruise and two nights after. You actually take the elevator down to board the ship. The hotel rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean. The view from hotel across the bay was spectacular, we watched the ships come in and the float planes take off and land. The buffet breakfast...

Stayed for five nights in a City View Suite. A bit of an odd set up as there was only one bathroom in the suite and it was in the entryway and not off the bedroom. I also found that the air conditioning didn't seem to effectively cover both the sitting room and the bedroom. That said, it was a...

If you're cruising, then this is the hotel to stay in. Great hotel with a good location. Gastown only a couple of blocks away so a huge choice of bars and restaurants. If your feeling energetic, Walk the sea wall to Stanley Park from the hotel

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
