I stayed in this hotel on the final days of a family holiday in Canada. Everything was super from the warm welcome at reception to a delicious breakfast. Its a classic style hotel and the room had everything we needed and more. The location is fantastic with all the shops right beside it. There was a choice of restaurants nearby....

In our recent trip to Vancouver B.C. my husband and I stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel. We loved our stay at this mid size, yet quaint and central hotel in the heart of downtown. The hotel was very well maintained, beautiful and clean, with courteous and accommodating staff all around. I highly recommend this place for family or business...

This was the second time I've stayed at Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver. It is convenient to Robson and other streets for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Very quiet rooms and great service. This is the only place I'll stay in Vancouver.

The Sutton Place is close to great shopping and restaurants on Robson. The rooms and TVs need updating but are clean and comfortable. I plan to stay again when on business. The exec suites are very spacious with a separate bedroom. WiFi is free.

I loved this hotel. I had an executive suite (at a weekend discount rate) complete with marble bath, city views, and chocolates on my turned down bed each evening. It was my first visit to Vancouver, so I was deeply grateful to the Concierge staff which helped me figure out how to reach things I wanted to see; they even...

Upon arriving the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had our room upgraded free of charge to a room on the 18th floor looking over Robson Street! The spa was unbelievable, try to get the Czech masseuse, he is amazing. The pool was nice although it was a little awkward to get to. The hotel in general has a...

We stayed at the Sutton for 1 week. The location was fabulous, the staff always helpful. The little things in the suite were the best, such as the pull out clothes line in the bathroom..great for the traveler!

The staff were more than friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and clean. We had booked early so we received two "upgrades" which included a $15 voucher to the wine shop next door and free internet. We would definitely recomment this hotel when staying in Vancouver, BC.

This is our hotel of choice whenever visiting Vancouver. Generally get a suite in the west tower - which admittedly is a bit dated though having stayed there enough if feels very comfortable. But this trip stayed in a one bedroom suite in the east tower - very nice. Newly renovated, very spacious, fridge stove, dishwasher. Could have stayed a...

We read previous reviews and some said dated, etc., we found it to be absolutely lovely. Great, helpful staff. A good location for shopping and sightseeing. Very reasonable price considering other locations. Superb.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
