The only thing this hotel has going for it is location. The rest of it was not worth anywhere near what they were asking for a price. Property was very dated. The entrance from the parking garage was confusing. Staff were mediocre at best. The food was not good and I had to leave the property to eat.

This hotel has staff that makes one feel welcome! They go above and beyond. The hotel is clean and in a wonderful, walkable part of Vancouver. The rooms are large with a fridge and microwave. Great views from the rooms.

You are a doorstep away from being in nature, either the ocean or Stanley Park. The conference location was easy to locate from ferries or airport by car, or public transportation. Beautiful view of harbour from hotel room.

Spectacularly crappy internet, so crappy in fact that it's a phone killer. I had to turn wifi off entirely as the continuous failed attempts to connect to the network was killing my battery in record time. Do not visit this hotel if you need the internet.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The location is wonderful for shopping/dining out and very close to the waterfront too. We had a great view from our balcony. We thought our room was well sound-proofed and enjoyed the crisp sheets and duvets (no grimy bedspreads here). Our favourite part was the recycling and compost bins in our...

Older, lovely hotel with a hugely comfortable room that included a kitchenette with full sized refrigerator and microwave. Great views of mountains and waterfront with an accessible patio/balcony. Located close to restaurants, bus, train and within walking distance to downtown.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room was very big. Much bigger than the last hotel I was in directly downtown for the same price. The location was great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. No complaints really

Very comfortable room, large beds, tables, TV, closet. Includes mini fridge, shampoo, soap, tea/coffee. Overall we had a wonderful, quiet stay. Very good quality. Convenient location as well: close to Stanley Park, and main streets. Great view (if you are staying on upper floors!)

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
