Picked this hotel on line, I select it becomes it was not expensive $75.00 including taxes. We only needed to crash out after a long flight from London. Room clean and perfectly acceptable for what you pay. I had intended to visit the restaurant and bar which is attached but by the time we got to our room and decided...

Working in Vancouver decided to check the trip advisor web search for deals on hotels. This one came out as the best price so I decided to have a look.Historic building but in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Canada.Found out from front desk that parking is an extra $10 per night and with several thousands of dollars in tools which...

I got this hotel for my points. When we arrived Noor confirmed us an upgrade and give us suggestion what to visit and some tips where to save money. Great customer service. Noor is the best! Even hotel is not in a pleasant area but the view was best. And the bar downstairs is good.

Built in 1913, five storey hotel with an old lift, or you can use the stairs. There are some homeless facilities within a two block radius, so very heavy – and can be confronting (safety or socially) – homeless presence. Open air car park next to hotel, but under CCTV (had nil safety or security issues with car there). Pub/bar...

Patricia Hotel is - to me - a real, magical, historic establishment. From its beautiful exterior signage that glows romantically in the night, to its characterful charm and considerate hospitality. The value for the cost of stay was generous. My room provided privacy and basic accomodations (furniture, tv, bathroom, bed, window with a fortunate view of the northern mountains). The...

Overall we were very pleased of our visit at the Patricia Hotel. Yes the Hotel would need a bit of updates on the mattresses and bathrooms (some have clawfoot bathtubs but not with a standing shower head). AS we were not there to stay at the Hotel all the time, it was what we needed for the price we wanted...

Very good value, comfortable room. Fine amenities, including 2 weeks secure parking, free internet computer to use in foyer. Attached Pat's Pub, with onsite brewery has very good drinks, especially their onsite-brewed Classic Lager. All the staff were friendly, helpful & good-humored and greatly helped me explore Vancouver, as this was the 1st time I have visited this beautiful, healthful...

The room was dark, elevator slow and a little bit scary and I felt dirty after sleeping in the hotel. The neigborhood was depressing with all the homeless people. The only good thing was the staff in the reception; allways helpful and knowledgable.

We came here to adjust to Canada: finding a flat, work, etc. Pro: - low price (!) - internet is working - (old) TV - own bathroom - friendly staff Con: - (very) old - everything looks filthy (carpet, bed sheets, window sill, radiator) - radiator works once in a while (as it was mild outside during our stay, we...

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
