This hotel is a great find. Yes the elevator is small but that's never going to be a deal breaker for me especially since it's only 4 floors. Rooms are spacious, bed is huge and comfortable. Bathroom is a little 'hostel' like but it works fine! The best part is the free bike hire- perfect for getting around Stanley park...

overall our stay was as good as we had expected and would stay again. The location was excellent for my husband's St. Paul's visit which made it easy for me to check in on him often. It's also a good location for shopping or window shopping.

Elevators very small, and noisy room.. Very old fashioned Motel and antiquated. Close to nearby Resturants and pubs. Not my ideal motel. I would not stay there if I had to go to Vancouver again. The Staff was very accomondating.

I travel to Vancouver BC often. The most recent trip was this May. We traveled with another couple and wanted a central location because it was only a 3 day trip. We chose the Burrard because it was centrally located, but our room was dismal. In addition to the bathroom being extremely small, the shower curtain was stained and the...

We walked to BC place for the U2 concert, and all around downtown and the sea wall . We live close by in the 'burbs, but wanted a hotel for a concert and restaurant weekend. Tourist in your own town - sort of thing. It was great . Ours was a small 1950's style room , which reminded me of...

Hotel was offbeat enough to distinguish itself from cookie cutter hotels. Central second floor courtyard garden was a nice touch as were in room prints from Dina Goldstein's fallen princess series. In room nespresso coffee was excellent and other free amenities made for an enjoyable stay. Location is near many good restaurants, bars and nightlife, but that also means some...

Our second stay at the Burrard. Good as the first. Small, charming, like most of the Canadians we met, the staff is really nice. Just a short walk from great food, the train, and BC Place, where we saw an awesome U2 show last night.

The safe did not work (low battery indicator) which was worrisome for storing passports. The disposable cups for the free coffee were stored in the fridge(!!), and weren't found by guests. Who stores paper products in the fridge?? The free shampoo/conditioner etc dispensers required TWO hands to squeeze (how do you expect to catch and use the product, grow a...

We loved our stay at the Burrard, so did our dog and cat, in this pet friendly hotel. The location is great. My husband was running the Vancouver marathon and he was happy to be so central and just minutes away from the convention center. The atmosphere of the hotel is wonderful and we loved our room and the courtyard....

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
