A fantastic stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is quite old, but is clean and modern inside. Great location too. Offsite parking was a bit of a pain, but was ok once you got used to it.

Moda is a small boutique hotel downtown Vancouver near all the live music venues and very close to BC place and Rodgers arena. The rooms are generally small but priced fairly for its location, great for overnight trips. Recently my wife and I were in Vancouver for two nights and decided to stay at Moda again; when we arrived the...

We gave the Moda a try one night while in Vancouver for a concert. The location is excellent with the Orpheum across the street and for those going to venues on Granville. If shopping is your thing Robson Street and Pacific Centre is nearby. Rogers Area is about 1 KM (.6 Miles) away, also a fairly easy walk. Beyond location...

Location...Location...Location! On the corner of Seymour and Smith you'll find the cutest little Boutique hotel in Vancouver. There isn't a huge sign that says Moda Hotel, instead the sign blends in with the decor of the rest of the building. So keep your eyes open, the hotel is located on the right corner as you're driving down Seymour St. Soo.......the...

The photos and descriptor of this hotel felt misleading. The building is quite old however the overall aesthetics/decor/rooms are totally outdated. The rooms are very small and the beds aren't comfortable. Don't expect any comfy duvets - the blanket looks and feels like an old curtain. The carpets in the rooms need a revamp. The location is great but it...

stayed at the Moda for 2 nights for a visit and concert with 2 other couples. The location is superb for a concert @ Rogers Arena, which is only blocks away. Across the street is the Orpheum, and a few blocks walk and you can shop @ Robson. The rooms are nothing fancy but nicely renovated for an old, updated...

The restaurant downstairs was delicious and the bar was nice, but the hotel is really lacking. The rooms are tiny and the overall theme of the hotel is "dingy contemporary." Their website is very misleading, as the pictures must have been taken when they first remodeled. The lobby floor is chipped and worn and those fun looking chairs are stained...

We booked a screaming deal online ($76 per night) and weren't looking for anything fancy. We went to the Canucks game so wanted to be able to walk. The only drawback to this older hotel was that you could hear a the street noise from the 3rd floor. The room worked in a pinch but it wouldn't be my suggestion...

Great hotel with a great location. Walking distance to Stanely park and Grandville island. Staff was really friendly, rooms were clean and up to date. Very happy with our stay. Definitely recommended.

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
