The location of this hotel is great. The staff will do any and everything they can to make your stay pleasant. They even volunteer to do things. A great city and a wonderful hotel. My stay was most pleasant.

Great meeting place for the conference I was attending. Spaciousness in the hotel room and meeting spaces. Plenty of "nooks to have private conversations. Internet speed was spotty at times. Convenient to the water and surrounding shopping areas. Hotel restaurant was costly however.

The Hyatt is a wonderful hotel. The location is walking distance to shopping, great restaurants, a walking path, and Stanley Park. I encourage you to stay on the Club Floor (#29). The food and drink are excellent. Staff is very polite and helpful. This trip was for business, but it would also be a great hotel for vacation.

While the hotel room stayed in was clean, comfortable, and had a super view, the "smart" elevators were a barrier to getting to conference events in a timely manner. Loved Mosiac bar and restaurant. Location for some sightseeing was good. Wish the weather had been better.

The Hyatt Regency was the first of three Hyatt's I stayed in during a recent trip through Canada and the USA. I booked a king sized bed but got assigned a room with 2 double beds at check-in. (I didn't insist on the hotel honoring the king bed reservation.) The room was on a higher floor (low 20s) with a...

We stayed at this hotel for a 5 day weekend get a way. The location downtown was great. Starbucks within the hotel and a Tim Hortons next door. Rexall drug store next door for little things you may have forgotten. Very easy walking distance to lots of shopping. The new Nordstroms was just down the street. The restaurant in the...

This was my first trip to Canada from the US and I am so happy I decided to stay with Hyatt. Every staff member I interacted with was more than pleasant and helpful. They have a very neat elevator system and it is very efficient, so if you haven't stayed here before make sure to ask for assistance with the...

stayed 2 nights for a conference held in the hotel itself and the neighboring Fairmont. Can't beat the location. Just a block from Robson, and tons of nearby restaurants. Many nearby Starbucks. Skytrain station is at the base, but if needing to go to the airport the one to take is a few blocks away. I stayed in a club...

This is a beautiful hotel in a great central downtown location in Vancouver. We came to attend a ballroom competition there and the ballroom it was held in was really roomy and had great ambience. The public spaces were beautiful, clean and modern. The elevator system has been updated...it's now computerized so that you enter your room on a central...

Perfect trip from beginning to end--Vicki was extremely helpful at check-in and even sent my daughter a gorgeous birthday cake while we were at dinner! The room was clean and had everything we needed. We will happily stay here again.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
