Best Western Plus Uptown Hotel, Vancouver, BRITISH COLUMBIA is a handy hotel for anyone needing to stay in town for medical issues at VGH. The rooms have microwave, coffee machine and small fridge which we found helpful. However, thankful as we were for the reduced...More

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that the medical rate has gone up but it is still and always will be the lowest rate available. We specifically make sure to have it available because we know that you aren't here on vacation. We hope...More
The hotel stay was fine. The service in the hotel recommended restaurant next door was not. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Family enjoyed the courtyard and some used the gym equipment

Funny how one bad experience can colour your feelings about a place. My stay at this hotel is a prime example.
I needed a hotel on the east side of Vancouver and trusted the Best Western name. Very hard to find, with construction and mature...More

Thank you very much for your review. I'm very sorry to read about your unpleasant experience at our hotel. I was very displeased to understand any of our staff was short with you. This kind of behaviour is not tolerated at our establishment and will...More
The room was extremely small side, especially if you consider the bathroom door barely shut without hitting the toilet. We found it to be a relatively good location to the bus lines running north and south, as well as east and west. Room for breakfast...More

The room is quite a good size with TV, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and clean. There is parking for a car. Staff are friendly and helpful. However the breakfast facilities we passed on as they are quite cramped and smelled. We were going to try...More

South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new

We rented a car from the airport and it took around 10 minutes to the hotel. We didn't use the car to drive into Vancouver because it's so congested with traffic. Instead we walked down a block and took a city bus which connected us to the Sky Train. It exits just a few steps from the cruise port. We found everyone was very helpful with directions, from hotel staff, to bus drivers to passengers. Maps at the Sky Train station are helpful. Mind you, we weren't burdened with luggage since we were doing the Hop-On Hop-Off buses for a few days.
