location is good. worth the price. the room was clean and tidy. there was a small toilet inside the room but we should go outside of the room and go to common bathroom to take a shower. the hotel has a lounge on first floor and that was great.

I have stayed here a number of times. The staff have always been friendly and very helpful. It is nice to have the common sitting area as a place to go for reading. The bedrooms, bathrooms and showers are always very clean clean.

We stayed here for New Year, really liked the hotel. It's in a quiet street about 5 minutes walk from Robson street with coffee shops, a supermarket, and restaurants all close by on Robson or Denman so it's well located. The hotel itself has a really nice look and feel about it, I liked the traditional style of the interior....

The hotel is very well located in Vancouver, near everything. The staff was nice and we got chocolates on our arrival on Christmas Day! Thumbs up for the free coffee and tea in the lobby at every hour of the day! THe hotel is clean enough, but a bit old and uncomfortable. The shared bathrooms are very, very small and...

The only complaint was thin walls, having to listen to our next door neighbors have sex loudly every night was kind of annoying, the bed was kind of hard. Everything else was lovely. Free coffee and a thoughtful gift on Xmas eve.

My first time booking a hotel and it went very smoothly. There was something I had to change last minute and they were more than helpful and were able to accommodate me. Also, I liked that a lot of restaurants and shops were in walking distance!

Hotel is charming and location is fantastic. Great value but if I was to mention one negative, it's the bed. Our previous stay I noticed that the mattress could be a bit better but on this stay, I have to say that I have never experienced a worse mattress except in Mexico!

Great hotel, particularly for the price. Room was spotless with more than enough room. Only (minor) issue was that hot water took a long time to come on in the shower, but overall would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay here! Their prices are really reasonable, especially considering how close it is to downtown and Stanley Park! Room's were basic but had everything you need, and the downstairs lounge was cozy. They also had free coffee and maps available down there. The staff were great too, very helpful. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
