You pay for the location which is great but otherwise I was disappointed for the price. My main issue was that the room was incredibly stuffy, even with a fan on and the window wide open, I would wake up completely drenched in sweat which...More
My wife and I have stayed at the Kingston a number of times. We use it for concerts and sporting events. You can walk to most places downtown.
It has a very elegant out of time feel. We usually get a room with a washroom....More
The bed was way to small for us. We couldn't barely fit (both of us are tall). Location is great though, and the staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is very simple, not much to choose from and no soya/almond milk for vegetarians/vegans.
You aren't going to get 5 star here, but it gives good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable and has all facilities you expect, the continental breakfast is good and gives you a good start for the day. But the location for...More
This bed and breakfast is really great. It provides excellent service in a friendly and respectful atmosphere. The location in the city is ideal for your visits to Rogers Arena and BC Place. The hotel is very quiet. Access to the common facilities tends to...More

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

The rooms I've stayed in both times I was there were the same. They are small rooms but ample for one person. There is the bed, desk and chair. There is a mirror and a sink in room. The shared bathrooms are just down the hall plus there are some on other floors. I never had a time I had to wait. I personally was never bothered by construction noise. It is an older hotel so no air conditioning but there is a fan and the window does open. It was fine for me and I was there in August. There are many little alcoves with comfy chairs around the place if you want to sit and read. Staff are extremely helpful. My room didn't have a tv. Not sure what the bigger rooms are like. It is so central to everything. The morning continental is adequate. Toast or bagel, juice, coffee, tea. Not sure what else. I hope this helps.
