On a recent business trip to Vancouver, I extended my visit by three days to visit friends who live there. I stayed at the Maple Beach Bed and Breakfast for the extended three days of my visit. I enjoyed it very much. My room had its own bathroom; the breakfasts were the right size, the place itself I found to...

This B&B is in a great location in Kits with easy access to Downtown and the beach. Plenty of eateries within easy walking distance. The house is old and rather run down and in desperate need of some re-decoration. During my first stay the room on the first floor had a comfortable bed. The facilities were pretty basic with a...

Great location in Vancouver in a very pleasant neighborhood. Walking distance to Granville Park and a delicious breakfast each morning. The house is an older property and the wood floors do creak some- it added character! Our room was comfortable and clean, and we had a lovely stay!

A very old house that was built in 1910. It is very clean and includes full breakfast. Located in Kitsilano close to the Museum of Vancouver, Kits beach, Granville Island. Walking to Stanley Park takes about 30 min.

This B&B is in desperate need of a new owner who will give it some TLC. The house reeks of something akin to stale urine. The acrid smell hits you as you open the front door but happily almost dissipated once I climbed the narrow stairway to my third floor attic room. The wallpaper in my attic room was peeling,...

The host and hostess Kim & Patricia were very friendly and helpful. On the morning of our departure, Patricia helped us telephone for taxi and repeatedly called the taxi company to question the long delay. The location of the premises was great, being close to both the city and Kitsilano Beach, and very convenient to buses. Breakfast was good. Also...

I stayed in this B&B for 2 nights. The description and pictures of the rooms provided on its website are current and accurate. The Maple Beach B&B is among the trademark painted wooden houses surrounded with matured trees and beautiful exotic flowers, and is in great location within the Kitsilano neighborhood in Vancouver's West Side, along the south shore of...

Hard to know where to start with this review. Firstly, the Internet blog is nothing like the real thing. As soon as we arrived we were asked to remove our shoes and a basket of used slippers were supplied to choose from. I do not like to wear other people's shoes and object strongly to being asked to do so...

I classify this accommodation as a 'pensione'. The location of this establishment is in Kitsilano - very close to the city and in a good location of eateries and tourist sites especially Granville Island. The host was fantastic and would go out of her way to help in any way possible. The rooms were of adequate size annd were cleaned...

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
