Stayed at the Barclay Bed & breakfast for three nights before a cruise. The house is in a great location close to Stanley Park and Robson St. We stayed in the Mountain Room which was great. The bed was comfy and the bathroom and shower...More
My wife and I stayed two nights in mid-June 2017. Breakfasts were fantastic. WiFi worked well (in contrast to many places). Owner was very helpful and extended every courtesy to us. We celebrated our 47th anniversary while in Vancouver :-)
We rented the whole B&B for out-of-province members of our family attending a wedding in June. The house is beautiful and every room well-appointed. We had to switch one couple from a second floor room to a ground level suite for their accessibility, there was...More
I stayed at Barclay House while attending a conference nearby for my work. The place was substantially cheaper than the hotels in the area AND it was much nicer. Just like the pictures my room was clean, quiet and private. The host was always there...More
Wonderful stay ! Dennis was " spot on " with every suggestion he made. The staff was very polite, the rooms were very cozy & comfy, and the breakfasts were superb every morning. My hubby and I enjoyed sitting out front each evening, enjoying a...More
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
