We stayed while picking up friends coming off a cruise. The rooms were clean and ample sized. Breakfast was very satisfactory, included fruit, cereal, and made to order eggs/omelets. The rail stop was only 21/2 blocks away. There were 4 parking spaces, first come first served. We had a shared bathroom for 2 rooms which was clean and not an...

I've had a wonderful stay at Windsor Guesthouse. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was very good, served on the terasse when the weather allowed. When I had questions I was always met with friendly answers. I thought I had forgotten my notebook in the room and wrote an email and the staff replied...

upstairs, 3rd-floor room was small, but comfortable, needs a mirror... shared bathrooms are always situation that can cause some discomfort - but it was clean and most functional... breakfasts are always delicious and delightful times to meet other guests from around the world... parking can be somewhat of an issue, but usually accommodation is made to take care of that...

Quaint nicely run place in need of some minor upgrading. Considering where it is, it was quiet and comfortable. Although it has nothing to do with my reason for picking the place, a hospital procedure, it was easy to get around once you negotiated the narrow streets and limited parking. They gave me a discount because of the hospital visit...

We had a wonderful experience at this b and b. The room was very nice and quiet; very nice sheets/comforter, we had a private bathroom (not all rooms do). The breakfast included individually made omelets/pancakes/french toast - with a very friendly person greeting you in the kitchen with excellent coffee/tea. We will certainly go there again when we go back...

We stayed here for one night only. The room was clean and pleasant, with a private bathroom, not shared. Breakfast in the morning good - eggs cooked to order. Location is handy to so many things - this is a great walking neighbourhood. We will definitely stay again.

This b&b located in the center near Broadway Street, you will get easy access to the main shipping centers and attractions. We were with small baby 1 y 6 m, and a crib was needed. Unfortunately they do not provide it. Some stairs inside are very noise. Breakfast is perfect!

We had a lower room in the Windsor Guest House. It really is more like a formal BNB than Airbnb. Great location, clean quiet room, lots of hot water etc. Not crazy about the lower room as it's a basement room, but the people were wonderful, the price was great and we got to walk all over Vancouver's key areas...

The reviews here are on point. This is a guest house which does a reasonable job of accommodating people who need a place to stay. However, if you're someone who expects more personalized service this is probably not the place for you. The owner hires people to care for the home. The staff are pleasant but perhaps need more training...

THE GOOD: The house is lovely, nice staff, wonderful location on quiet street, near buses and restaurants.Francesca, one of the managers couldn't have been nicer. Breakfasts were very good. Now for the BAD and NOISY. I don't understand why adults have to make so much noise in an older home with paper thin walls. The people above us were either...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
