Great central location for walking tour, shops, restaurants (Granville is 1.5 km away on foot), but rooms slightly outdated, matress not firm. Sufficient towels, amenities, coffee, etc. Has in-room fridge and micro-wave, no safe. Busy street day/night, bus stops in front of hotel, bicycle self-rental on corner. Adjoining restaurant was not a good choice for breakfast, very minimalist. Hotel Employees...

This hotel is within walking distance of Grandville island. The rooms are small but clean. the restaurant is bad as well room service is poor. Tim Hortons is right across the street which came in handy. lots of good restaurants in the area for dinner.

We booked 2 rooms under my partner's name and we provided a credit card to hold both rooms. The website of the hotel was configured such that it requested at least one name for each room. One room was under my partner's name, the other room in one of our guests' name. Prior to our arrival, we sent an email...

As other recent reviews have said this hotel is ok, it's not bad and it's nothing special. The street the hotel is on is very non descript but False Creek is a nice area and only 5 minutes walk away. We did walk to downtown from here, took around 30 mins, or the tube station is around 600m away. No...

Dear Jeff, Thank you for taking the time to comment on our hotel, and for staying with us. We offer rates that include breakfast should this be your preference. Although we are not in the downtown core, rather, mid-town, our location is a central point from which to visit attractions, and close to various alternate transportation providers. Thank you for...

Our room was a reminiscence of the 80's, large enough and with an acceptable bathroom. The general impression is that it's clean. Staff is very friendly. It's a Bed&Breakfast where breakfast is not included. Plan on 30-40 min to reach downtown: walk 4 blocks and catch the tube. (2.75$ one way). This property is neither romantic nor designed for demanding...

Dear Guest, We are pleased to see that overall our hotel was comfortable for you. We do offer a rate that includes breakfast with the guestroom should this be a preference for travelers. We are a comfortable three star property located close to the downtown core and a good location as a base for visiting the many attractions Vancouver has...

Booked in on points and they must have known that, because they put my son and I in a tiny, uncomfortable room. The air conditioner is 4 inches from the head of one bed, so if it kicks on during the night, it blasts ice directly at your sleeping head. The other bed? Well, the room is so small that...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
