Convenient location and though the room was somewhat dated it was clean and comfortable. Welcoming staff, free parking and free wifi made this very good value. Good connection to public transport (bus stop directly in front and opposite to the hotel). No elevator and pillows too soft. That's about all I didn't like.

I had to travel last minute earlier this month. I was able to find a room here with ease. My family was concerned about the area, and warned me to avoid going out after dark. As I was traveling alone, I was a bit worried. At check in, the front staff quickly put my mind at ease, and explained that... More

Thougth I'd take a chance on this place based on the pics and location. They totally got me with the pics and the "no two rooms are alike". This place should charge maybe the same price as a hostel .....40 bucks would seem fair for one towel for two days, bad internet, bad tv reception (what's this 1977). Pillows were... More

So on arrival impressions weren't that great the place looks run down and smells damp and old. The room itself wasn't actually that bad at all it was clean and comfortable and did the job for the two nights we were there. There's also a really nice place called yolks just a short walk down the road which does awesome... More

The hotel was clean and we loved the retro decor. Bed and overall room was good and the staff was amazing. The front desk staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The area was just ok. Convenient store in front of the hotel but homeless people too. the price of our stay was amazing.

Kent, the host on the desk, was extremely helpful getting me organised and orientated for my stay in Vancouver after having just arrived from overseas. Felt very safe, very well looked after, room was clean, comfy bed, Kent even carried my heavy bag for me up the stairs. Convenient location - grocery store across road, bus stop right outside.

After a night out with my spouse, we decided not to travel the hour home. We found this little gem just outside downtown on the East side. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The only downside really was we arrived during filming and they had limited spots for parking available. The staff offered us other locations which was nice.... More

For sure the hotel is not in the best part of town, but was lead to believe it was a 3 star and from the photos it looked funky and definitely worth the visit. When you go in, it has that warm 40s grandma charm to it, the front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. Once you get to your... More

I visited a friend who lives in Vancouver. Found this old but cool hotel. Looked kind of sketchy at first but pretty decent once you get inside the lobby. Rooms arent too bad. Small but clean. Hotel staff were friendly. Convenient supermarket in front of the Hotel. Will come back for another short weekend stay next month!

Room is good for the price. However, they rented out the parking lot (yes, the one they advertise on their website) for a motorcycle group's party all weekend. We booked our room months in advance.
